Bqttery claims 9 hours. You barely get 3. It also dies out on you while its plugged in...

I finally stepped up and purchased a wireless speaker and unfortunately I am completely underwhelmed. I feel the sound quality is very poor. I'm back to just using my phone.

I compared the JBL, Harmon Kardon, Beats, and Bose with the UE Boom 2. I really wanted a waterproof unit, so I was already leaning toward this unit. I was impressed by the sound and clarity for its size, and the price for its features was just right. It was easy to connect via BT, and the capabilities to have multiple BT sources and pair with multiple UE Boom 2's to cover more area are useful for parties. I ended up buying two of these. Frankly, the hardest choice was selecting the color.

Terrible product. Doesn’t allow you to charge and play music at the same time. The app associated with it works when it wanna work.

I would find myself eyeballing UE products every time I went into a Best Buy but wouldn't dare purchasing one because, to be honest, UE products are a bit overpriced. And yes, I could have bought a speaker and returned it within 15 days. But, is that a decent, realistic listening experience? No one wants to keep rotating speakers every 15 days. The BOOM 2 doesn't even sound good enough to justify its original price (came out at $199!). But, when I saw it on sale for just $99.99, I instantly got one and have been enjoying my purchase ever since. For a hundred bucks, this speaker is FANTASTIC. It doesn't shake the ground with bass, as it's physically not big enough to do so, and that's fine. I find it to have a pretty balanced sound signature; no too harsh in the highs and does a decent job with the lows at 50% volume (I rarely go higher as it enough to fill my dorm room). The fact that this thing blows out 360-degree is a bonus. The waterproofing is great; haven't had any issues yet. Seriously, get whichever model is on sale because, otherwise, if you have $179+ to spare, you're better off with a Bose speaker, since that thing will give you bass for days and all-around quality sound. But it ain't gonna be as durable as a BOOM 2, that's for sure.

I have cheap $20 speakers and an iPhone 4 that holds a better battery life.

This did not stay charged. It lasted for thirty minutes even after charging all night. Best buy was awesom and returned it no questions asked.

Package I ordered was missing parts and I believe it to be a refurbished speaker...bogus!! BS!

Absolutely booms high quality sound. Better buy than Bose or Samsung. Super easy connectivity, holds charge and fills any room with great sound!

I cannot believe the quality of the sound you get from such a small speaker. I can only imagine the sound if you would have 2 or 3 of these setup. Connecting to an old 4th generation I-Pod was quick and easy. No downloading of an App required. If you are looking for a Bluetooth speaker with AMAZING sound, I would highly recommend the UE Boom 2.

This speaker produces loud, good quality sounds with full bass. With using it around 20-30 mins a day, it easily lasts about 2 weeks on a full charge. It's easy to update. One thing though, is when I pair it to my Nexus 6P, the sound cuts out after a couple songs via Pandora. I just have to hit the volume button or pause and play the music again. Not sure if it's a problem with my BOOM 2 or Nexus 6P or Pandora Android app. The music cutting out also happens on my regular BOOM. Both have the lastest firmware.

I was primarily looking for a small speaker for work and the beach. Portability and durability were as important as sound and design. After reading all of the reviews for various speakers I decided to purchase the UE Boom 2 and couldn't be happier!

During 2015 holiday I had purchased BOOM and this time I got this BOOM2 in a wonderful deal provided by Best Buy. Once the Firmware was updated the speaker was fully controllable by the UE Boom app including the power on/off. I have doubled up with both of my speakers for an awesome stereo sound, UE Boom app interface is so cool to add multiple speakers.. Overall pretty much happy with the speaker..
