I had the first gen so decided to upgrade to this one and they both work great for me ! I usually use them while im taking a shower and the sound quality is amazing.

All is great but the battery life
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very loud, easy to connect to, cool feature that wasn't advertised is that you can link your speaker to another one for double the sound, obviously the advertised features like waterproof and drop proof are great and have proven to be true. The speaker did advertise 15 HOURS of battery life, but alas this must have been proven on a low volume setting. At full blast the speaker's battery lasts less than 2 hours. I definitely recommend buying a clip for it so you can hang it from things while you're using it. I was about to purchase a similar speaker that advertised 40 HOURS! of battery life, but then I compared sound and the UE Boom 2 was twice as loud and clear as the 40 hour speaker. I'm happy with my purchase. I also bought a large battery pack to keep the tunes going at max volume a lot longer.
