Lousy Speaker and Horrible Support

Owned for 1 month when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had one Boom 3 and wanted another to use the Party Up feature which allows the use of multiple speakers. I have rarely been more disappointed with a product. The Party Up is a pain to set up and keep working. Pushing the +- buttons to get the % of battery charge doesn't work. UE/Logitech support says the firmware doesn't support it and it may be in a future firmware update. Never mind that the brochures tell you to use that 'feature.' The firmware version of my older Boom 3 is v1.4.38. The version of my newer one is v1.0.15. Asking why the difference and why the new one has an older firmware, support told me that it might be the date of manufacture and wait for firmware updates but they can give me no indication of when that MIGHT arrive. The support sites for UE and Logitech have absolutely no useful information and the customer support can't tell you anything. I would avoid this speaker like the plague..

Your (+/-) volume controls should be working effortlessly to indicate battery life on your speaker. As well, if you are having difficulty in Party Up, please ensure both speakers firmware are up to date by checking in the Ultimate Ears app. If you are still having issues, I truly apologize for that. Amazing travel size speaker

It is as good as my original Megaboom which is several years old and this is half the size.

I guess I was hoping for more. It's fairly small so it is what it is. If you are sitting at a table with it, its perfectly fine and sounds pretty good..

Defective Charging Port

Charging port was defective out of the box. Since they do sell their own proprietary dock, I sort of think the charging port defect might be purposeful. Purchased for $80.

The store was out so I gave this one a try. She does not like the battery life or sound quality. Not happy about this product.
