Posted .Hi Jason, Very sorry to hear about the issue you had with the Boom 3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker sounding terrible. Have you downloaded the Ultimate Ears Boom app? Not only will this help make the speaker sound better by allowing you to adjust the EQ. More importantly, when you initially begin using it with your speaker, it will upgrade the firmware to your speaker. Another thing you can do is check your phones audio settings. If that doesn't solve the problem, Ultimate Ears does have a 2-year limited hardware warranty for the Boom 3. Sound quality is good and they definitely filled the space but I ended up returning the one because it defeated the purpose of having multiple if they won’t link and stay linked. Disappointed as I would have gone a different route had I know the stereo feature was garbage...

I cnt seem to get the blue tooth to work it has to be plugged into computer but I think that's user malfunction. lol

360 Sounds; Is a game changer

Compact tube design, about the size of 20oz soda bottle. LOUD!!!! This CRANKS the tunes on full volume, almost too loud for a table. Per the packaging, you can link 2,3,150+ of these together... I only own one, so can test it... but have done it with other products, and that is a MAJOR advantage. You could wireless connect these, and spread an entire field area with just these small speakers, all in sync. Back to this single speaker: - has a screw in option in the base, so you can mount it to a standard camera tri-pod. Don't think that is a big deal, think about it... you can take it and place it anywhere, and it doesn't have to be on a table. It can be in the corner of the tent, or just out in the open. - Big power and volume buttons, you won't be searching for these. - LONG provided cord. While it has an impressive battery life (ran it for 6 hours, and still didn't kill it)… you can take this cord, and add any size battery pack (or even a wall outlet), with no problem. You do need to provide the power adapter though, not included. - So my FAVORITE feature, the 360 sound. You can't see the cones in this speaker, so I don't know how they are doing it.... but the AUDIO is the same all the way around this speaker. left, right, front, back, a little left and to the back, etc.. so there is no one place with this speaker that you are at a disadvantage... According to the packaging it is water-proof and floats.... I am not ready to test that yet.... not something in my normal routine. I'll leave that for the next reviewer

Posted .Hello. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with the Boom 3. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues charging your speaker. When you plug the speaker in, does the white LED light blink next to the charging port? If it is not blinking, please try using a different power brick and be sure to use the cable that came with the speaker. If it is blinking, please leave the speaker plugged in overnight. Sometimes when the battery is drained completely, it takes a while for the charging to begin. If it is still not charging, you can start a warranty claim here: https://support.ultimateears.com/en/limited-hardware-warranty/

I don’t know where the BOOM is but it surely isn’t here, not even a little bit. The only positives are the cool app and the aesthetic design of the speaker but musically, it’s lacking. I had a smaller, JBL Flip 4 speaker that had more bass than this. Needless to say... I’m returning this product.
