ok stuff but it takes a lot to charge but still ok and a little cheap.

Sounds like static. Will be returning this. The older model is much better.

I purchased this BT speaker and returned because I wasnt able to get more than an hour and a half off a charge. I exchanged it with the hopes it was a bad speaker and had the same result. What's even worse is if the battery is drained you can't use it plugged in without the charge.

Sound quality 7/10 Look 9/10 Battery Life 4/10 (might last you an hour or so on full volume with full charge.) Battery life is why I wouldn’t necessarily buy another one but it is a pretty solid speaker aside from that.

It’s okay, it is louder on some songs than others and certain podcasts episodes. My biggest problem is no matter how long you charge the battery it just does not last. I get maybe a solid 4-5 hours.

As an owner of multiple UE speakers over the years including the Blast ( basically the Boom 2 with Alexa,) I was not expecting much of a difference in the Ultimate Ears Boom 3 . I feel that most speakers updates are incremental at best. That is true to a point, companies like Ultimate Ears have mastered the sound quality for speakers. Every Ultimate Ears speaker in the “Boom” line has great, powerful sound. If you never owned a quality bluetooth speaker, you will be shocked at how much sound this speaker can produce in a small package. It can easily fill a medium sized room like a living room. So what is the difference between the new Boom 3 and it’s predecessor and the competition. First it is IPX67 rated ( water proof) and floats in water. Most people could not care less if it floats but a completely water proof design is a nice touch that you will not appreciate until you accidentally spill a drink on your speaker. The speaker has a button that you can chain together multiple Boom speakers to cover large areas. Another feature that is welcome addition is what UE calls the “Magic Button”. The button allows you to play, skip or pause songs. Additionally you can access Apply playlists ( up to 4) that are set in UE app. In looking a the build quality and looks, you will be impressed with the quality. The Boom 3 is solid as a rock with good tactile buttons and stylish finish of knitted fabric mesh. So the million dollar question is it worth it? Yes and no. If you already own a UE Boom 2, no there is not enough differences to justify an upgrade. However, if you are in the market for a quality bluetooth speaker ; look no further than an Ultimate Ears Boom 3. But before you jump in , ask yourself do you need a quality bluetooth speaker or do you need a quality bluetooth “Smart” speaker. I say that because last year’s Blast model has basically the same sound quality but adds Alexa. If you do not need a smart speaker, you really cannot do better than the Boom 3 or the Megaboom 3 for a larger sound. If you need a smart speaker – go with the Blast. Regardless of which model you choose, you cannot go wrong with Ultimate Ears speakers.

When fully charged it only plays for 1.5 hours max then dies

Stopped charging less than 4 months after purchasing... would not recommend.

Ultimate ears makes some of the best Bluetooth speakers, hands down. It's one of those products you buy knowing it will work well. The sounds on this thing is Rich and full. I have it hooked up to an Apple TV and use it as the main audio source for the Apple TV and it works perfect. It's just small enough to stay out of the way but, that doesn't hinder it's ability to fill the room with great sound. The build quality of the boom 3 is top notch. It feels solid and well made. It definitely feels like it will last for a while. The water proofing makes me feel even better about taking this speaker around wherever I go. I can't think of a reason why I wouldn't recommend this product. It looks great,sounds great, great battery life, and is water proof. Not sure what more you could ask for from a Bluetooth speaker. Highly recommend.

Shortly after we bought it, we bought it again as a gift to family members. Very pleased with the overall quality, as well as the design. Good sound and good battery life.

We had purchased one in sales, but after 3 days it started skipping when music was on. We returned it and exchanged it for another storm boom 3. Same thing happened, after 2-3 days, music started skipping and pausing mid songs, lyrics, words. Something is wrong with parts used on the manufacturing/ production line. We already had a boom 3 black, works fine and never skipped.

I ended up selling this after a few months. The sound and connectivity were not the best. I think the original boom was better than this one.

Dies within a hour. The BOOM 2 is better quality. I wish I would have purchased that one instead. I even tried exchanging it and got another one samething happened. I’m so disappointed
