Upgraded from the original boom and already seeing a vast improvement. Wasn't planning on replacing but the other one broke, so naturally it was time. No regrets staying with the brand!

Great product for my teenage kids. Water resistant and durable product. Speaker has great 360 degree sound and can easily fills the room. App is easy to set up and operate the Boom 3.

Man, I was so happy when I got this speaker. It got LOUUUUD, the bass was punchy, the sound was unrivaled. So why am I rating it 2 stars? Well, it was rated for 16 hours of battery life, and to my surprise, it only lasted for 6.5 hours. I was highly disappointed by this as it was a big selling point for me. I ended up returning it and buying a soundcore rave neo which was actually a much better purchase and cheaper.

it was a birthday gift for my son, he LOVES it. Great sound and easy to use, he even uses the app on his phone for it.

Sounds great deep bass and the clarity. It being waterproof is just amazing

Not being a speaker/sound guy, I was looking a t familiar brands like Sony and Altec until a friend suggested Boom. He asked me what I wanted for and even suggested the size. For just a few dollars more than other brands but less than the premium you pay with Bose, Boom delivers a great sound and durable speaker. I can't wait to add one or two more and link them together. I use for the home gym, my office, my old truck and I even throw it my ruck when I get some miles rucking.

This speaker packs a PUNCH! I purchased it for a beach trip, and it did not disappoint. The fact that I am able to connect to different UE speakers and play them all together is an amazing feature as well.

This is my new best friend. It goes wherever I go, the beach, pool, park... and works well and sounds real.

This was a gift for my son-in-law who travels a lot and he loves to have his music wherever he goes. He loves the sound and the portability.

Allow me to elaborate: I purchased a UE BOOM 2 last year when it was on sale and thought it was a brilliant purchase because Ultimate Ears delivered a great portable speaker with enough ruggedness to withstand my daily showers. The sound was good for its size and price, and I was excited when UE announced the BOOM 3. Let me say that the new BOOM 3 looks pretty darn gorgeous. The BOOM 2 looked great, too, but was more on the funky side. The BOOM 3 is more elegant with its two-tone fabric weave. I'm very glad UE added a button on top for play/pause and skip controls. The BOOM 2 had those controls but you had to pick it up, and "tap" it, like tapping a bottle of ketchup. The BOOM 3 is wider than the BOOM 2, but it's not a deal breaker. It's still a nice water-bottle-looking speaker that plays nice with corners and backpack pockets. On to the sound quality -- or should I say, sound signature? The BOOM 2 was as good as it can gets for a rugged waterproof speaker. I thought UE would improve the sound signature on the BOOM 3, but it sounds like it's the same. Which isn't a bad thing, but a bit of a letdown. Good news is the BOOM 3 starts at a lower price. So, in a way, the BOOM 3 is what the BOOM 2 could have and should have been. Again, not a bad thing, and I'm glad they went with that route. App support is great and you still get cool features like the ability to remotely turn the BOOM 3 on/off. The EQ settings come in handy because they have practicality to them, like "Cramped Spaces," which dials the mids down a bit for smaller rooms. Overall a great speaker that is amazing on its own, but stands a bit dull as a sequel to its predecessor, the BOOM 2. But hey, maybe BOOM 3 isn't meant to be a sequel and I'm just putting that pressure on it.
