I love the app you use to control it and how you are able to adjust the EQ. The only thing I don't like is you have to turn it on from the app. I havent tested its floating capabilities.

However, if using this for training, when clicking between slides and having a discussion between them, the sound takes a few moments to kick in, so the first 5 words the slide speaks are missed. So in facilitating a Workshops - would not recommend this speaker.

Clear sound, not much bass

It projects it's output 360 degrees for even sound dispersion in the room, but best if it's a small bedroom or study. Unfortunately, the last octave of bass is missing. What I mean is there is almost no bass. Clearly, this is a design consideration, for a speaker at $149 to not be destroyed by too much volume, means the low base has to be sacrificed. For many people, voice reproduction is most important. Example: my wife listens to podcasts and thinks it's just fine. I listen to music and think it needs more bass. We are both right, it just depends...

Posted .Hi Spike! The Boom 3 also has the Boom app to be able to tweak the EQ settings of the speaker. But there is always the Megaboom 3 and the Hyperboom which definitely bring the bass! long lasting great sound

The sound is very good. We used it only in a two story townhome. So dont know how it would be on a larger area but we are very happy with it.
