Don't waste you money

I found many negative reviews about this exact issue on several websites when trying to troubleshoot the charging issue. I also emailed Ultimate Ears support about the issue with no response back from them. Instructions that were included are vague and not helpful. Also there is no USB charger included with the speaker, only a USB cable. Don't waste your time or money with this product.

Posted .Hello, Very sorry to hear about your disappointment with the Ultimate Ears Boom 3 and the charging issue you've experienced. This may be because you haven't updated the firmware when you initially got the speaker. To do this, download the Ultimate Ears Boom app which is available on Apple App Store and Google Playstore. And in terms of a USB brick to plug into the wall, you should be able to use any powered USB port to charge your speaker---the brick isn't necessary. The battery life isn’t nearly as good as stated if you use it near high volume usually. The MOST annoying part is that the battery life decreases WAY faster after it hits 20%. From that point I usually get 30 minutes max before it dies... that’s very infuriating. The sound is solid in smaller rooms but just fine in big rooms or outdoors. Not impressive but it gets the job done. Next time I’ll get something else.

I would prefer if it would of let u use spotify or pandora.
