    Horrible product for $250. This product will not hold a charge. It has a feature that you cannot turn off that keeps the battery draining slightly always. This means unless you leave it on the charger, which is in a horrible place, it is never ready to go when you need it. And to make it worse, it can’t even power up when plugged in if the battery is too low. You have to wait until the urge to listen to music is already gone. Do not buy anything from this brand.

    Works with or instead of Alexa

    It was an okay product. Just didn't get as loud as I wanted it to. I thought it would play along with my Alexa like an additional speaker but it didn't it just took over my Alexa. That's not what I wanted so I returned mine.

    We purchased this item in November. It took us a few weeks before we set it up and by January it wasn't charging any longer. I contacted their customer service by Feb. 3. They were very responsive at first but three weeks went by without responding to my email. I called today and was told they never received my email and I needed to provide the information again. Once they review it, I will need to return the speaker to them before they will provide a new speaker. If you don't mind having your unit fail after light use for two months and jump through a bunch of hoops to get a replacement and not having your speaker for a few months, then this unit is fine.

    Other than good sound this speaker has a short battery life and definitely not 330’ of range. I would not recommend this product.

    Very nice speaker when it is working

    I bought the item and in the same week the speaker stopped working, charging it didn't help... I search online for a solution, and apparently a lot of other people face the same issue. now I need to find a way to fix it. I had the first UE Boom and it still working great, while the new UE Megablast collecting dust.

    After using this speaker lightly over a 13 month period, the speaker fails to power up. I don't think I have more than 50 hours of listening time on this speaker. It was used indoors and not very often. I need to replace this speaker and I will not purchase this brand a second time. If you do buy a MEGABLAST, buy the extended warranty from Best Buy, maybe then they'll stand behind it.

    A Durable Speaker That Delivers

    This speaker lasted 4 years of constant use—camping, cold weather, and around the house. It’s loud, sounds great, and handled a lot of rough treatment. Finally gave out, but for how much it went through, it was fs worth it. Would definitely recommend!

    Bought as a gift for in-laws. They loved it, had great sound quality, connected easily to phone. Stopped working right under 2 years of purchase. Company was ridiculously difficult to deal with and gave run around having them repeatedly do tests on it, send them info., etc. multiple calls were made, letters written, etc. Was still under manufacturers warranty, but company never did a thing to honor their warranty.

    I finally discovered my everyday Bluetooth speaker

    I finally discovered my everyday Bluetooth speaker! The Megablast isn't perfect, but it offers more than enough high quality "personal" portable audio for 99% of my daily living. If you want more, then go to your nearest Pro Audio store and get a commercial Bluetooth speaker. The sound quality of the Megablast through low, mid and high volumes is natural, uncolored and to my picky audiophile ear is superb for a small (portable) Bluetooth speaker. If you want more bass use your surroundings and place it in a corner of a room. Again, it isn't perfect but show me a consumer Bluetooth speaker that is. Unlike other brands that tweek the treble too high, (I'm looking at your Flip 4) or boost the bass so much that it overshadows the mids and highs, I found the Megablast to be a joy to listen too at any volume in just about any genre of music. With other speakers I always felt like I was increasing or lowering the volume looking for that sweet spot that you actually wanted to listen to. The Battery life is great. The micro USB charger is nice. It's not USB C but at least it's not some proprietary laptop charger that I have to spend forever looking for before I buy another because I lost it, *looks at Xtreme and scowls*. The white indicator on top of the speaker turns red when the battery is low. Alexa is a bonus. I didn't buy this thing to tell me how long I should boil an egg, I bought it to play music all day and sound awesome at 360 degrees, which the Megablast does in spades. It's "drop proof", water proof, (Do not put speakers in water, they sound horrible and you're inviting dry rot and if by chance a USB port is open it's game over) and it's built like a tank. Cons: It doesn't have an aux or mic input (again head to your Pro Audio store and get a commercial device if you want that). No AM/FM radio but you can stream internet radio with your phone or tablet. You can't pair it with another speaker. It's not flashy and doesn't have gimmicky lights (this is con?) It doesn't make omelettes. I got this on sale and am VERY satisfied so far. Would I pay 300 for this? No but 179 was music to my ears compared to what else is out there..

    Bought two of these speakers. Only one works, need to send in the other one In. Powers off, on its own, no bass.

    It says it’s waterproof. I bought it to use next to my hot tub. I used it once and it wouldn’t charge returned it for a new one and the same thing happened. I ended up buying a different brand and it works great. The Alexa feature didn’t work great for me either

    The megablast locked up on me 3 days after i bought it. Seems to be too common of a problem for a 350 dollar speaker. I took back and got the mega boom and its still going strong. This is a great speaker but its connection issues turn me off

    Died after 9months and barely used.

    Not happy at all purchased in October it died in July. Used once and a while never used it in water and went to use it today and it wouldn’t turn on. Purchased the protection plan and returned for another and apparently you need to buy the plan every time you exchange a defective item. Not sure how that is fair. Very unhappy.

    I bought this product thinking it was going to be as the previous version I owned. Not so. I have had to reboot this thing three times now to get this to turn on. I have only owned it for a couple of weeks now. Waiting for a total melt down. Stay away.
