This is a great speaker built like a tank, love it to this day!

Had a previous Boom and Boom 2, decided to upgrade to a Megaboom 3 cause I hadn’t had a portable speaker in a while. Out of the box this speaker sounds good in the mids and treble but has such bad muddy bass. It sounds awful. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth for a brand new speaker out of the box. Just like the portability of the previous speakers, IP rating and sound quality but this one sounds off. Don’t know if it’s a manufacture defect or I got a bad speaker but I’ll probably look elsewhere next time.

I am very pleased with the quality of sound of this wireless speaker.

The sound is the only good thing about this unit. No USB-C port in 2023. This thing still runs on Micro-USB, and takes forever to charge. The battery life is a scam. 20 hours? I only got 2 at moderate volume (<50%). I used to love Ultimate Ears, but this is just a joke.

Bought this speaker last month. Its bass is good. The mids and highs are just okay. This speaker is bigger than I thought. Will take up space in your tote bag or beach bag. Was a little pricey for the given performance of this speaker.

Bought this to replace my JBL Flip 5 that I accidentally ran over with my truck. Sounds pretty decent. Like the app control. First trip I took it to the river it overheated after 15 minutes of use. Bluetooth range is also very poor. Anything over 25 ft and it starts having signal interruptions. Not impressed. Probably going to buy another Flip 5.

Not great. The sound quality is fantastic and I got it up and running very quickly with my phone. Pairing was quick. But when I tried to pair another phone, and it would never go into pairing mode. Instead, it kept telling me to download the app. I did, and had the app running, but it still wouldn't pair. Sending it back. Very disapointed.

As an early adopter of UE products with the 1st gen Boom and also the noise cancelling headphones, I must say i was bitterly disappointed in this unit. The name fits it well and not in a good way. The bass is super boomy and hollow (you know like a blown sub sound?) and is non-existent at higher volume levels. Sounds almost distorted at times. Messed around with the EQ settings on the device and my phone to no avail. It sounded a bit better with Pandora than my own music but overall the only thing it does more of then my old UE Boom is sheer volume, but it does not sound good doing it. Sadly, I will be returning this product as even for $100 I do not find it an upgrade to what I already have. If you have an earlier Boom, don't bother. That all aside, the app and connectivity is very good, just sad my Boom outshines it in party mode.
