The Ultimate Ears MegaBoom 3 is a nice any environment type speaker. It is specifically designed to be out in the open and everyone around it to enjoy. It has 360 audio, though it is just standard stereo speakers pointing opposite of each other, so you still get stereo effect. It is waterproof and rugged, great for active environments. It is actually surprisingly light for the size of it. It will float if it falls in water, but don’t expect it to be worth playing in water like the box almost makes it look like a feature. There is a small loop on it that is perfect for a carabiner so you can keep it secured. The design is simple, nothing flashy, not even a big brand logo. Buttons are simple and the giant + an - volume buttons make it so that anyone can figure it out. However, they are a bit awkward to use. Plus, the tone at max volume kind of scared me the first time as it is mutes the audio playing to make a loud beep. As for sound quality, it’s not the worst I have heard, but not the best either. If there is a mix of highs and lows you can hear it flutter. It can’t handle deep lows or piercing highs, but it does alright with trying to make the mids sound like “thundering bass”. If I were just going for pure audio clarity, I would avoid this one. The power brick that comes with this is huge, but at least the plug flips in to make it a bit smaller. The supplied USB cable is decently long, but I’ve already bent the end that goes into the power module on accident. As it look reinforced, it slightly extends beyond that reinforcement making it easy to damage. There is a separate wireless charger that may be different, but I haven’t seen it, but you can see how it is used with the little indention on the bottom. TLDR: if you are planning on taking this outside, around water, in an area where you might be concerned with it falling and getting wet, but want to listen to music, it might be worth it. If you are just using around the house, for the price, there are better.

I love this Bluetooth speaker! This is great speaker to take to the pool, beach, outside with a couple of friends, or inside for a chill gathering. The bass is awesome and the sound quality is great. It's very durable, actually looks sleek and easy to use. The UE app is a great addition as well. The only thing I did not like is that range is not the greatest so you have to stay relatively close to the speaker or risk it going in and out!

Love this speaker. I teach water aerobics and use this speaker by the edge of the pool. It is completely water proof and will actually float if accidently knocked in the water. The sound is great and the speaker is small enough to carry around in my bag from place to place! The best thing about the UE Boom Mega 3 speaker is that it has great sound and I never have to worry about it getting wet, rain or shine, it out performs many other speakers I've tried.

I bought this speaker for work, so I could have music in our trailer. It puts out great sound, and has a long battery life. Since the back door is open all the time I went with this one because of water resistant and dust proof (West Texas dust is always blowing). It has met my expectations. This is our second Megaboom, my wife has one also and loves hers. I have not explored the App that the recomand to go with it, but works just st fine off of Bluetooth.

This speakers pack a punch, has a long battery life, and is easy to carry from room to room. But it's loud enough that you could probably leave it in a central area to fill your whole space with music. If you like to EQ your sound, download the app where you'll find EQ controls with various presets, or set your own custom preference. If you want a solid, no-frills bluetooth speaker, this one is definitely worth considering.

Superior Sound, Very long battery life and very durable. These are designed to withstand the "Pool Party where we drank too much and keep knocking the speaker off the table onto the concrete and into the Pool" (they are waterproof). The optional Charging dock is expensive, (30ish), but worth it. The ability to link many of the up at once to all have the same sound output is awesome! You will want to download the app for it. (it is very handy).

The Megaboom 3 is a fantastic portable Bluetooth speaker. While certainly not entry-level, I was shocked to get the sound quality I did out of a $200 unit - it seems on par with a stationary box twice as expensive. My favorite feature is the remarkable, rich sound quality. Streaming from my phone was as satisfying as it was easy - a quick pair results in deep, compelling sound. I love that I can put the speaker in the center of my small house and hear music throughout.

I’ve paired 2 of these with the Hyperboom unit in party mode and they soumd unbelievable. The speaker itself is portable and sounds fantastic with plenty of base but the party mode takes it to the next level.

What an great overall speaker. I’m a big Sony Fan Boy and love the XB 33 and XB 43. But I got this for 99 dollars and it doesn’t have as much bass as Sony line or get as loud but it’s clear and It’s great to walk around with or ride your big out door. Yes I did get it a bit outdated with the old usb A port but. 99 bucks for a quality speaker with a representative brand too. 2 year warranty BOOM. I TRIED TONYATEBON IT BUT OVER ALL FOR 99 bucks it’s GREAT FOR ME. GOT IT IN BLUE AND IT LOOKS SO NICE. GET THE APP FOR FULL SPEAKER BENEFITS. ITS JUST A FUN SPEAKER TO HAVE.

Couldn’t resist the price for the value. Purchased my first UE Mega Boom 2+ yrs ago for full price and was most satisfied (sound quality & size/weight) until Bluetooth suddenly died. Decided then to “upgrade” with a pricey Sonos Move, whose sound quality and other features are great, but whose battery never holds a charge as advertised. Overpriced and bulky in size & weight. So, when $99 sale price for UE Mega Boom hit I couldn’t resist (re)purchase as a backup for travel purposes and convenience. Hoping Bluetooth lasts much longer this time...

I will just say its a really nice speaker with good bass It also connects to your Bluetooth devices really well. The battery life has been good and long lasting, although My kid could say more on that since he uses for the shower more Over all, a well built speaker.

Speaker is great for a portable speaker. A great accessory to have with you while you travel and it doesn't take up much space in your luggage. Also the battery life is great. You can boom away all day if you have a full charge. I'm happy with my purchase.

Good speaker for the price and extremely durable! Overall sound quality is good and battery life is awesome..but doesn't seem near as loud as my previous megaboom which is why i couldn't give 5 stars..my jbl charge 5 is much louder

I really like this speaker. It is loud, has a nice bass, the charge last for a long time, and it is water proof. Best of all, Ultimate Ear's support is excellent. After a few weeks the wall wart stopped working. I contacted UE via their web site, responded to their request with S/N, P/N, etc. and they are mailing me a replacement charger. All this back and forth took 1 day. If you had to seek support from other companies you must know how rare such quick service is.

This is a great portable speaker. The sound is sufficient for the size, and my phone connects right away. My only quarrel with this is when I party up with my Hyperboom I notice some trouble with the connection. I'm sure it's a software fix, but if that worked flawlessly I would give the speaker a 5 star review.

I love this speaker especially with the app. You get pre-set EQ settings as well as the option to make your own. By itself it can get loud with good bass. It does a good job of not drowning out the other sounds...unless you like bass boost. Overall I can use this inside and it's enough for a party outside. PLUS THIS BABY IS WATERPROOF. What are you waiting for??

One of the best speakers ive ever had .. this speaker lasted me 4 years before finaly giving out ... i loved the big sound from such a small speaker and it fit perfectly inside my luggage... and the battery is a huge +++ could play it at mid volume for 8hrs and only waste about 10%
