I pair with my other Ultimate Ears speaker to have music in the whole house without having to take one around to each room. Wish they had one where you could use it for calls, but my guess is the sound quality would be diminished.

I didn't think anything would beat my MEGABOOM 2, but UE outdid themselves and improved the speaker. I also like that they dropped the original price of $299 for MB2 to $199 for MB3. Sometimes we all feel like we don't get our money's worth for a product purchase...not so with the MB3. You won't regret this purchase!

It feels and sounds super powerful for the compact size that it has. I'd love it if it has a more balanced transitioning point from one level to another when turning the volume up and down.

The 1st one still works great, but it is smaller. First one was also a Xmas gift to myself and it is five years old. I use them to listen to medicine songs in spotify or great books in Audible in long trips on my iPad. I do this to avoid interruptions with my phone and the Bluetooth of my car.

Just be aware that it is large if you are planning on using it as a portable travel speaker. I had a UE mini boom I bought in 2013 and it lasted 7 years! The sound quality finally started diminishing on it so I purchased this one. Sounds great but like I said, very large. Wonderful for outdoor sound. I bought it when it was on sale for 99$. May have bought a different one if had to pay full price.

Won’t pair with outdoor theater Bluetooth.

For some reason only one speaker will pair. If I pair from my phone i can get them all to pair. Speaker has great sound quality, but doesn’t work for the purpose I bought it for.
