Great speaker, no better than normal boom however

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am giving this speaker a 2 star rating because I spent a half hour comparing the sound between this and my boom 2 speaker which is half the size. The volume was almost identical, I actually think the boom 2 was louder than the megaboom which was shocking. The megaboom had a bit better bass, but nothing worth the upgrade at all. The features are better, but for just pure performance it is nowhere near being worth buying the speaker if you already have one of the regukar boom speakers.

Nice sound but not at full volume.

Owned for 7 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was skeptic about this speaker, usually I go with Bose for speaker setups, but I got this and was surprise in the clarity and bass it has, some speakers when they are in max volume sounds like screeching but this one manages to keep it clean and sounding nice, and the cool app allowing you to turn on the speaker without having to get up and turn it on was a nice touch.

If you haven't done so already, I suggest that you download the Boom app which will unlock more features for your MEGABOOM 3 like Party Up, Remote ON/OFF, Musical Alarm, and Customizable EQ. For more information about each feature, here's a link: https://www.ultimateears.com/en-us/features/apps.html. One big thing initially that will be beneficial as soon as you download the Boom app is that it will update your speakers firmware. Hope that you found this helpful and that all is going well.
