I own the UE Megaboom 2, bought this one for my son as a high school graduation gift, as he's off to college in the Fall '21

Sometimes it doesn’t take a charge, but overall it’s a decent product. If you want a speaker that’s loud I recommend looking at other options

This speaker is loud, pretty clear and somewhat bassy. However, the controls and the reliance on the badly developed app, make this an overall horrible experience. The app allows you to turn the speaker on/off, adjust the equalizer of the sound, and sync to your Spotify to create playlists. Sounds cool, right? Well, if you happen to NOT touch the app for more than 45mins, it WILL stop allowing you to use the buttons on the speaker itself to do anything. Oh, did you accidentally use spotify through its app instead of the Boom app? Well guess what, its gonna fight you the entire way for control, and then lock you out anyway. Wonderful. And if you decide to not use the app??? Well the first hour will be fine, and then the speaker will shut itself off. Turn it back on and you've got maybe another 45mins before it does that again. Oh and by the way, the buttons will not work after 30mins. Don't even try to cut it off because it would rather sit there and stay on but disconnected than to allow you the satisfaction of turning it off with the button. Get a Bose or JBL if you've got the money, or a Sony if you want to spend ~$90 less for something less loud but better overall

Fast shipping and for sure the cheapest option around. Best buy always has the best deals FIRST. Haven't used the speaker yet though.

Outstanding! I would recommend this produt to anyone

This is a pretty decent speaker, I bought 2 of them. But one of them after about 3-4 months the speaker would get distorted when you turn the volume up all the way. Not impressed with the warranty process online.

Tried to use for a zoom call. Did not work. Listing says it can be used as a speakerphone but that is not the case. I only recommend this if you want to use it for listening to music.

When I purchased this item, I called Best Buy to verify dimensions, they told me this item was the same dimensions posted on their site, 16x7x5 or something misleading like it says on the item description. Well, when I received it, it was NOT what they had said on the phone or written on their description. I only kept it because it was a gift for my husband and I ran out of time to get something else. But the product itself isn’t the problem, Best Buy’s misleading info is. Zero,is my rating on Best Buy. I’m going to give the product 3 stars because it’s a good company that makes it.

Great speaker ! Sound quality is good and battery lasts a long time.

OK sound with pretty decent battery life. Love that it can get wet. I replaced a JBL Charge speaker with this after the Charge was stolen. If I were to buy either again I'd go with the JBL offering which just had better sound. Also, for some reason, the Megaboom battery seems to discharge excessively when not in use.

had some initial issues getting the Device to take a charge, it said 20% charge even after charging overnight. all seems to be good now.

I listened to these using the in-store demo and they sound fantastic. However, I didn't realize before buying two of them that they are still using Micro USB. Yes, this is on me for not doing my due diligence. However, it is completely unacceptable to still be shipping and shelving ANY electronics in 2024 with such an outdated standard especially for as much as these speakers cost. How these have not received a product revision to include the new USB-C standard is beyond me. I will be returning both of these speakers and buying something else from another brand.

Really good quality sound and very sturdy app is very easy to use

These things are great, I have one myself and then I've gotten two of them for gifts when they went on sale.

This speaker has great sound and the battery lasts all day long.
