Purchased the red one multiple(2) times, and each time the item was defective….Item would lose connection while playing, we tried a blue one the final time and it was also defective. I purchase the purple one at the same time and no problem. I ended up returning both items and sticking with the mega boom ones which I have had for years with no problems…side note, stick with the mega boom 1 over the 3…THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO IMPROVEMENT FROM THE 1 to the 3….I would also recommend refurbished over new because the 3 speakers I received new from Best Buy were garbage….

I researched high-quality speakers, and this WAS supposed to be one of the top, but its out dated charging port, and low volume that will be blown out by too much bass isn't really worth it. Save your money and look for another brand.

Looks super nice but the sound quality could be better . I also have the UE BOOM 2 LE which is smaller and older model and sounds way better!

Speaker works great. The bass is not what was expected however I would not recommend blasting it cause it could blow out. Battery life is just okay. It can last a few hours

Aloha, This portable speaker is a great add-on to anyone who wants a bluetooth portable speaker. Having it being somewhat waterproof and shock absorbent from drops is a great feature. The easy access of pairing it along with it's user friendly downloadable app is great. Unfortunately a ton of reviews praises it's bass quality and battery life. I have found that the bass does distort easily with the increased volume or adjusted digital equalizer. I play my music quite loud (construction worker) and have to adjust the bass slide down to not completely distort the bass. Volume levels around 70-80% to max does not nearly give you 20 hours of play. 80% loudness will just get me through a 8 hour work period on some days, and other days will die in 6 hours. I'm assuming the 20 hour play is at it's lowest volume setting with the digital equalizer dropped down to it's lowest settings. Don't be fooled and expect 20 hours. It's not happening with this Megaboom 3 portable Bluetooth Speaker. With all of the negatives said however, this speaker is GREAT and medium loudness levels and a custom digital equalizer setting. It's just not what I expected when comparing it to it's first generation Megaboom which gave me two working days without charging. Aloha
