Great clear speaker for a small thing very powerful great 4 work out

These are awesome . Work great. Fun at parties and tailgating. Would recommend these for anyone who wants great sound in a small speaker

a very nice speaker with impressive battery life. Have yet to test it’s waterproof capabilities but it is certainly very shock proof.

Music stops playing and get a message to make sure the app is running to use this feature. I’m not trying to use any features

Pretty good sound out of this speaker alone but love that you can chain multiple UE speakers together to listen all over the house/yard.

Its amazing how immersive the sound is with this small of a speaker. Even better if you pair it up with another speaker sing the ultimate ears app.

I am not an audiophile by any means. Having grown up in an age of transistor radios and phonographs, sound was always OK. Sure I have all the latest electronic gadgets but when it comes to sound, cheap Bluetooth speakers have always been good enough. I had to buy a Bluetooth speaker for my computer group and I bought a $60 one that I felt was good enough. Now that I got this Ultimate Ears Megaboom 3, I realize just how bad the club's speaker is. Of course, you get what you pay for and I realize I should be paying more attention to the sound quality. I brought the Megaboom 3 to my club and ran the same audio on both the speakers. The Megaboom 3 sounded so rich and full with a deep bass and the other speaker sounded muffled and flat in comparison. The Megaboom 3 is virtually the same size as the original Amazon Echo and just slightly larger than my Contigo travel coffee mug. Connecting my iPhone, iPad and Macintosh to the Megaboom 3 with Bluetooth was almost immediate. Many other devices I have tried to connect over the years took up to 30 seconds to connect. There are only 3 buttons on the top of the Megaboom 3. One button turns it on and off, one starts the Bluetooth paring and the large button in the middle lets you tap once o play and pause, 2 taps skips a song, a 2 second press will go to the next playlist you added to their app and if you hold another 2 seconds it will advance to the next playlist. The app lets has an equalizer as well as playlist control and lets you pair multiple Megabooms in party mode. The front of the cylinder has 2 volume buttons disguised as a + (cross) and a - (hyphen) . As a friend said, when he saw the cross on the front, he thought the speaker was a religious candle. I decided to try the Megaboom 3 in my backyard where I have always used a pair of Yamaha speakers mounted on the wall connected to my hot tub. The sound from the Yamahas was always OK but when I played the Megaboom 3 speaker I couldn't believe the difference. The sound was so much better and clearer and had way deeper bass and I can just carry it outside and place it down whenever I go in the back yard. The speaker is waterproof but I would rather not put it in the hot tub as who knows how the heat might affect it. The manual says you get 20 hours on a charge. I haven't kept it on that long so far but to charge it there is a rubber flap that opens to reveal a Micro-USB port. Ultimate Ears says they are coming out with a charging base that you would just rest the speaker on to charge it but it's not available as of this writing. I love the rich deep sound of this speaker that I find myself listening to old favorites and hearing new things in the songs that I have never heard before.

The first thing you notice when you take the Megaboom 3 out of the box is the build. The unit is solid and has just the right amount of heft to it. The fabric covering is a nice touch but concerned how long it will hold up, especially if you take this to the beach or pool, where it seems the Megaboom was built to be. It is water proof and floats. There is a hanging loop, a nice touch would have been to include a carabiner clip as well. There is an app that is a must-download which controls the equalizer, block party which allows up to 3 people control the music and multi-speaker setting which allows you to pair up to 150 boom speakers. The sound out of the box is very good with lots of bass. Comparing to my Bose, the sound was a little fuller but on par. Volume is plenty loud and the sound was clear up to about 85% when it started to distort. The equalizer in the app has a couple presets and a custom control, all sound great and the speaker adapts immediately when you select a preset or make a change. There is a big plus and minus button on the side of the speaker to control the volume however, you have to press each in the middle to make any changes. Pairing was simple and effortless. As soon as the Megaboom paired with my iPhone, the phone indicated the app and went to the app store to download. The large button in the center of the top is a magic button which controls song playback as well as immediately playing your chosen play list but only if you use Apple Music or Deezer Premium. Otherwise it will play, pause and skip songs. When you power up, power down and connect, the speaker plays a melody of sounds rather than a voice greeting like many of my other speakers. You get the battery level by pressing the plus and minus at the same time and it will speak it. You can also see the battery level in the app when the speaker is connected. One thing that is missing but most likely won’t be missed is the ability to make and receive phone calls. This speaker is for playing music only. The battery is rated for 20 hours and I haven’t had to charge it yet, playing a couple of hours a day for the last week. Charging is done with a micro USB plug or a charging base, which is optional and will set you back $40. For what it appears to be, a circular disk with connection pins, this should have been included, not optional. Sounds bigger than its size, purchased on sale so it was a great value. Build quality is great as always with Ultimate Ears and Logitech.

Not a bad little speaker just not what i was expecting for the price low quality in my honest opinion.

We didn't have speakers for outdoors movie night so i got 2 of them and they are great the sound comes out of them just perfect.

This product was great, until it wasn't. Would no longer charge. Contacted the manufacturer and just got the runaround. Will never buy their product again.

This BT speaker is awesome. I had the original mega boom which was lost during a trail ride in a Polaris Ranger. So I replaced it with the mega boom 3.

This is a great speaker with great sound. Sound carries across far and clear. My husband and teenagers love to take the speaker everywhere.

returned due to not being able to be with much bass for distortion and dying quicky after having for almost my warranty thankfully I took it back in time.

Love my Megaboom! We take this thing everywhere. it can take some rough handling. kids love it.
