For some reason I could not get max volumes I was hoping for clear outdoor sounds using the Apple Music App. Switched music app to Spotify/Pandora/Youtube and max volume was significantly louder. Unfortunately, I have a paid subscription to Apple Music and needed louder outdoor volumes. Called manufacturer and could not resolve, so opted for a no-hassle return. I would have been pleased with my purchase if I did not have to use Apple Music app since volumes were very robust with the other music apps.

Cuts out a ton, like every few seconds, not sure if it’s the speakers fault but kinda disappointed regardless

Mega boom 3...down to about 80hz. Still not a full range, hi-def speaker. Believe the first gen Megaboom sounds better overall. It’s a no go for me at $199. Have $60 speakers that sound better.

Very powerful, great sound quality. Easy to pair more than one speaker. No auxiliary wired input, however.

The bass on this speaker was just too much. I love a speaker that thumps, but the bass drowns out mods and highs. This makes it sounds muffled. Not worth the price

Easy to connect the updated app makes it easier to connect surround sound and connect other UE Boom speakers.

I have spent my time looking for the best Bluetooth speaker available and I can say that the ue megaboom 3 is so far the best sounding and most cost effective to date

The Megaboom 3 is a compact, waterproof, battery powered bluetooth speaker. As such, it provides clear sound for use outside or inside. It has a long lasting battery, is easy to use, and easy to enjoy. Pros: Full spectrum sound: This reproduced high and lows well. No noticable change wherever it’s placed. Good size and weight: This is half the weight of Amazon’s 1st Gen Echo speaker, but has the same sound quality. Fast Charger: Uses Quick Charge to refill in ~1 hour. Can use the charger for your Turbo charge devices. Waterproof: Left this out in the rain (oops) but no harm done. Still works fine. They say you can dunk it in the pool and it will even float! Connects easy to different devices: A short press of the bluetooth button and you’re ready to re-pair. Unobtrusive: Can easily set it on your table to provide background music and it will blend in. Auto power off: If you have no music for a time, it will power down to save battery life. 20 Hour Battery life Cons: Low bandwidth: Details get a bit muffled if you step far from the speaker (> 3 feet). Favors Apple: “Magic” button only supports playlists from iTunes (on iPod) or Deezer (what?) on Android. No support for Amazon or Google music. You might find yourself listening to music more :) I used this speaker both outside and inside with a variety of different music. I like a mix of classical, classic rock, and pop. The rock and pop songs came out clearly. On one off the more complex tracks (Panic! At the Disco’s Crazy = Genius) there was some distortion as the speaker tried to reproduce both highs and lows simultaneously. The classical songs mostly suffered from the same issue. On less complex sections, the speaker sounded great. When there was too much going on (i.e. 1812 Overture’s cannons), the speaker suffered. I would consider these to be minor issues, given my expected use for this unit. Not many sit outside listening critically to music from a wireless speaker. The UE Megaboom 3 serves its target market well. I would definitely recommend this as a beach / pool / party room speaker with plenty of pop and side of sizzle!

Lighter than I thought it would be for its size, the Megaboom 3 fills up a room easily and is very durable. It's waterproof and floats in water, so it's excellent for the pool. A welcome feature with the speaker is the magic button on the top center of the speaker. This button allows you to pause/play and skip tracks and appears to work with many of the popular apps. Of the ones I tried were Samsung's native music player for Android, and YouTube; both worked. Although the app that's designed for it is kind of buggy and poorly designed, it's the way to get them most out of this speaker. Believe it or not, you can actually turn on your speaker from its off state using the app. This actually works with the older Boom models via firmware update. You can also use the magic button for playlists but currently it's limited, only working with Apple Music and Deezer. Speaking of other Boom models, the Megaboom 3 can pair up with older the UE Boom for the Party Up feature, where you can output sound to multiple speakers. Again you would need to use the app to be able to do this. The battery lives up to the claim of over 20+ hours. Depending on how often you use it, you can go on without charging for months at a time. After charging it to full charge, I still have yet to charge it again since I got it. Worth noting though, it still uses micro-USB for charging. The speaker also has the ability to charge wirelessly but it's only via a stand that's sold separately. You'll only be able to charge using the micro-USB cable that's included. The wired input port on the older Boom is no longer on the Megaboom 3 so you won't be able to use it with non-bluetooth audio devices. Pros: Excellent sound, excellent battery life, durable construction, waterproof, floats in water, able to pause and skip tracks from speaker, able to turn on speaker remotely via app, pairs with other Boom models for multi-speaker sound. Cons: There is no input audio port. Netural: Wireless charging exists but its proprietary charging stand is sold separately. Bass isn't as booming as I'd like and may disappoint some.

Good sounding speaker however the battery life isn’t good. The most playing time I get is about 4 hours MAX. Not worth $199.99 regular price. Only bought it because it was on sale for $99.99

I ordered two speakers. They were easy to set up and sync together. Sound is great inside and outdoors.

Clear and Loud sound quality. Not the most bass so it's a preference thing. Best speaker for podcasts.

Legit. Wish it would connect with a WonderBoom. It’s loud loud.

Love it,take it everywhere. Long battery life and good Bluetooth distance. Plan on buying another one.
