The Megaboom 3 is known for having very clear and balanced sound throughout the entire volume spectrum, so your experience is not the norm. Please make sure you have the latest UE Boom App installed on your phone and the speaker's firmware is updated.

If you haven't already, please download the free Ultimate Ears Boom app to make sure your Megaboom has all the latest firmware. This may fix your battery life problem. But, you also do have a 2 year limited warranty that can be used to have a replacement sent out to you. You can do that here: https://support.ultimateears.com/en/megaboom/. Very Good portable Speaker

I was a bit skeptical at first, but after a few days of using this speaker I'm convinced. It is a very good speaker. I planned to use this speaker with my Bluetooth capable TV, so most of the listening I did with this speaker was with my TV. First, as with almost everything Bluetooth these days, connecting to the source was a breeze, no issues. Second, the sound quality is terrific. This speaker filled my Livingroom with incredible sound. I spent most of the day last Saturday watching college football and the speaker really delivered. There were so many times during the day that I had to stop and look where the speaker was because the sound was so room filling it felt many times that the sound was coming from in front of me instead of the back where the speaker was located. But in order to really get a feel for the quality of sound you must listen to music. Am a diehard 1980's heavy metal fan and really cranked up the volume of this speaker. The sound was excellent, for its size it can really fill a room with rich sounds. Quality bass, nice mid tones, and clear crisp high tones were consistent with this speaker at almost every level of volume. There was some minor distortion at the highest levels of volume, but nothing to significant, and realistically I am not going to have this speaker at the max levels anyway. So really, no issues for me and I imagine most others as well. Battery life seems to be close to or at the advertised 20 hours. I only charged this once and still have about a quarter of the battery life available. The only thing about this speaker I do not like is the + and - buttons on the front, they just don't look good to me. But this is a personal preference and does not take away at all from the overall quality of this speaker. Five stars and a high recommendation from me on this one. The quality you get from the price on this make it a no brainier for those who want affordable quality.

Mega Boom 3 Sucks

Apparently a problem with these speakers and Best Buy won’t take it back…apparently now Best Buy has a 2 weeks return window instead of 30 days.

Product souned blown right of the box. Could have got a faulty unit, and i thought, it happens. But customer service is non existent from the manufacturer. Biggest mistake was giving them some time to respond, because i them couldnt return it anymore to best buy after waiting to long. Very disappointing for a $200 speakker

In the meantime, some practical things you can do would be to download the Ultimate Ears Boom app which will update the firmware, if you haven't done so already. You can find the app in both the Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
