Logitech customer service says this is “1st” time they’ve heard of it. I recommend staying away from the brand till they learn honestly addressing product failures is the only path to brand loyalty.

Purchase & shipment went well, but product is defective. Will not work wirelessly. Only works when plugged into charger. Not a portable speaker if can't be used unless plugged into charger.

If you have not already done so, please download the Ultimate Ears “Boom” app. Firmware updates are available through the app. Perhaps the speaker needs an update. If you are still experiencing this issue, please try resetting the speaker by pressing the Volume Up, Volume down, Bluetooth and Power buttons simultaneously. If you are still experiencing this issue, further assistance is available through the Boom app.

My smaller speaker outperformed this one and I even linked them up but the connection was super choppy

Great Speaker from Ultimate Ears

I still love its form factor, night black in color, fabric mesh grill, rubber coated on the ends and it floats if immersed in water. This speaker claims to have 20 hours of battery life and is IP67 rated for waterproof. It comes with a nice flat usb charging cable and plug. Sound wise this speaker can get extremely loud with a little distortion at high volumes. You can download the app and adjust EQ settings from there which I like. There are a few preset EQ settings but you can adjust the sound manually as well. Just make sure you download the correct app because I have a UE Blast bluetooth speaker and just assumed it used the same app, it does not. The UE Meagboom 3 has its own app, after finding the correct app everything was easy, although you dont even need the app you can just connect with bluetooth and start listening. Overall this is a great speaker for both indoors and outdoors if you are looking for one that can do both.

If you haven't already, please make sure the speaker has the latest firmware updates via the Ultimate Ears app. Doing so should fix the battery issue your experiencing.
