This would not pair with my other speaker. They looked identical. I no longer can turn them on from my phone either. Not sure why they deleted that option in an upgrade to the app

Sound is phenomenal, crisp & full sounding...especially if you enjoy serious bass! The app works great for controlling the EQ too. Battery life is exceptional so far. Very pleased with this purchase!

I got this one and work on construction I don’t recommended if you work in construction the sound really loud at first than after 4 months the volume is low.

I had the speaker for 3 1/2 months everything was good but one day I turned it up to 75% and the speaker was rattling.. I checked for the warranty but it expired.. I believe this is a manufacturer problem!! For the price I believe there needs to be quality! And for this speaker it's not!! Now I'm 4 months in with a speaker I cant listen to when my family comes over just a big paper weight.

After losing my first Boom speaker (which I loved) I decided to check out the Mega Boom as an upgrade.... and it is a HUGE upgrade. The sound on this speaker far exceeds that of all of the other 3-4 Bluetooth speakers I've used in the past. Much stronger sound than the original boom speaker... it's a little bigger, but worth it.

Not really happy since the return window just closed a few days ago and the speaker won’t charge over 40%. Contacted customer service and they asked me to reset the speaker remove from Bluetooth, etc.... Well I did all that and it still won’t charge over 40%!! The sound of the speaker is pretty average compared to the other ones I have purchased. This is will become useless soon since the battery won’t hold a charge.

This speaker was supposed to last 20 hours Wich I wasn’t expecting but 1 1/2 hours of playtime is just ridiculous .. Glad I bought the 2 year geek squad protection plan .. so all summed up i paid the speaker price plus an extra 60 bucks just for total disappointment and will most likely loose my 60 bucks to them for covering this p.o.s if they will even do it .. stay away from this speaker unless u wanna keep it attached to a charger at all times

Used it successfully 3 or 4 times for approximately 2 hrs each time, worked great. After that it kept powering off after a few minutes, seemed like it wasn’t holding a charge. Worked fine while plugged in but then the speaker started cutting in and out. Bottom line it was probably defective, but I didn’t replace it with the same.

Right out of the box the size of the Megaboom is impressive. The weight makes me feel like it's very durable. Also it charges fast when fully drained (2:20 - 2:30). Now for the first battery test I checked out the loudness then I put it at a comfortable level. My play time on one charge went over 26 hours. Almost 26 and a quarter. Bravo! I do have a PC so I am able to use the auto updater on my computer and I have updated both my Boom and Megaboom firmware in less than 20 minutes. Yes I would definitely recommend UE's products to; family, friends, co-workers, and strangers. I have also read the other less flattering comments about other UE products, but that has definitely not been my experience. I got a first generation Boom in early 2014 on sale for $89. I will admit I have put this thing through the test. It fell off the roof of the house on the concrete and off my car. I was only doing about 10-15 miles an hour, but the speed bump give it a little bit of lift and I saw it bounce then roll down the asphalt a ways. Both times I found it and it's been working fine. The battery could still go about 3-4 hours on 2/3 volume even now. But most of the time I have it plugged in because I'm there for a longer duration. I've been nothing but pleased with it and have been looking forward to it's bigger and better replacement.

Love this speaker! Great quality sound unique design makes the sound all around speaker, portability & 12 hrs. Battery life! Awesome!

OK. I've had this thing for over a year now. Just logged on thinking of buying another. For giggles, I had to click on the 1,2 and 3 star reviews. Many of them say they were expecting louder sound. I don't get it. This thing is every bit as loud if not louder than anything in its price range and things beyond its price range. I'm one of the main music guys in the neighborhood. The speaker goes everywhere with me. All I hear is how awesome the speaker sounds. How much did it cost? 250...thats a great price, etc. Best speaker on the market at that price and probably best speaker for the next price up....meaning Bose....and I like Bose...they just happen to be the Nike of Speakers..paying a lot of the name.

I was walking in NYC last month and i heard some loud music coming up from behind me and it sounded really good. I was really surprised to see this couple dancing down the sidewalk holding this little speaker. I stopped them and asked what that was and it was of course the UE Megaboom. I bought it the next day and took it for a test drive. Overall the sound is extremely good in all ranges except low end. I was a little disappointed in that but not enough so it was a deal breaker. If your looking for thump go somewhere else but if your music is diverse this is an incredible little speaker. It is a bit pricey but then again Sonos does not have a wireless speaker that's waterproof yet. There really missing the boat here. If they made the Play1 wireless and waterproof that would be a winner for me but I take this speaker with me everywhere. I feel its worth the investment for what your getting.... So i'm a happy camper

I might have got a defective unit, but I returned this item because it sounded awful. No bass at all. Ended up getting JBL.

After one use the speaker was t working right. Was nice sound u til about 30 minutes in

It is not taking charge, unless u leave it charging and playing at the same time.

I purchased my UE Megaboom after my JBL Flip 2 was fried by water. It was the best purchase ever! I have sense taken it rafting about 5 times on Utah rivers where we completely capsized about 3 of those times. Speaker was fully submerged and even hit agains rocks and it took it like a champ. Also the sound is amazing. A speaker that really delivers. I have noticed some sound quality is lost at very low volumes when I use it in my room however, that dosn't bother me, I bought it to withstand the elements and I have other speakers for in my house.

I bought this thinking it would be loud enough to have at the beach house, not loud at all.

Product quality does not equate to the cost - regret buying.

For a portable bluetooth speaker this is truly an amazing device. Hi's, lows, mids they are all there. it is amazing that you can get this quality sound and you can easily move it to anywhere you want. I have been professionally involved in both recording studios and very high end audio. This speaker blows me away. I have some very large high end and expensive speakers that are somewhat better, but they are stationary. These are worth every penny and much more!

This speaker wasn’t as expected. Had returned the next day.
