I read the reviews and most negative ones and most user issues is about the battery and charging problems. I don’t have those problems (yet? Lol) bought it in November 2018 at sales. Sounds great, sounds clean and loud. I don’t even sure why UE started trippin’ lately , but I really think it’s because of its cheap weird looking app and updates via app. I would recommend you to buy it, to be honest, but highly not recommend you to update it. Just don’t use the app at all actually. It’s still will sound great. So my personal issues about this speaker (again, I believe after update) is that I cannot pair it anymore with my other megaboom without using the app(which means i gotta use my smartphone only) but I don’t listen music from my phone, hello. Yeah I’m still using MP3 players for music, smh. So that feature is gone after i updated my both speakers. And recently I got the issue with the Bluetooth signal. Once you disconnect or turn off the speaker, the device couldn’t find it anymore. Yep. Every time you must reset the speaker with power button and volume down button, so Bluetooth can be founded again. That’s it for now. We will see later. I charged the speaker to the full, will check today how long it will last on max volume.

This product most definitely delivered what it said it would. Nice full sounding audio. The higher pitches do not come in as well as I'd like, but it's not terrible for the average person or even someone who can tell the difference between 192 and 320. What I was very disappointed in was that the volume up button does not work. Also, the case the speaker came in has a torn live hinge. something that a $300 speaker ought not to have for it's case. An actual hinge would be more acceptable. Going to return this unit as soon as I can and hopefully find out this was a severe hiccup in manufacturing. Overall good speaker. Expected guaranteed quality from such an expensive piece of equipment.

I had two of the first gen small ones for almost a year and then I heard just one mega and was sold right there. I've bought 3 over the last 7 months (you can link up to 50 of them now using the app) and plan on getting one more. The other reviews say enough about how great they are. the only thing I strongly recomend to people, is buy the geek squad protection plan. I had one of mine stop charging after a few months. It has a one year manufactures warranty, but its worth the peace of mind having the extra time and covrage on something you're literally gonna toss in your car, on the couch, in a bag, to a buddy so they can look at it. "it's cool they are durable". I've got all of mine while on sale, so that way the protection plan is free and I still save a few bucks. You won't regret the speaker or the plan.

This speaker has been great! It connects from a very long distance and is very loud. Great speaker

Quality speaker, great sound. Bought another brand speaker and it only lasted 10 days before I started having problems with it. Have had this speaker for almost a year now and can honestly say that this speaker is worth every penny. Ultimate Ears makes a superior speaker. Buy one you won't be disappointed.

This bluetooth speaker is really the best out there! I was reluctant to cash out for such an expensive speaker but it was on special and I just could not pass such a great deal. This is worth every penny. Great speaker for any occasion.

This speaker works great, the tap to add feature is awesome, no more fumbling around with Bluetooth settings, bass could be a littleader deeper but overall very great sound quality, especially the mids

I am so happy with this speaker. I use it constantly, and the sound is incredible. Probably gonna buy a second one to sync to so I really crank up my music! Highly recommended.

These speakers do such a great job, they have a lot of power and are very loud. Very great product. Love them

I don’t know if there’s a difference in colors, but i bought the charcoal one in November 2018 and it’s run time on maximum vol today was 2hrs and 30 min from the full charge. It tells you that battery are very low, but still will let you listen music another 30-45 min i assume. Of course you not going to play it on max indoor, but i personally using it when I’m biking, so yeah it has to be on max vol always. Now I can’t make desicion to buy something else, or just keep using this one.

The UE Megaboom is a vast improvement over the Beats Pill XL which it replaced. Sound quality, great app with equalizer is top notch. Highly recommend,

Great sound, love the form factor of this speaker. But the battery performance is unpredictable, when using outside and around the pool we like to play it loud, unfortunately this drains the battery in no more than 3.5 hours. Tried using it for a golf tournament this weekend and might have gotten 3 hours of usage, well below the advertised 15 hours. And for this reason it's retting returned...

Amazing sound! Better than expected! I read the reviews before my purchase and am glad to say that I have no regrets.

It's a great device, still use after 5 years and works great. Battery last for long time after being so old. Great product and quality.
