Great sound only thing that sucks is u cant play music while its charging

We've owned a UE MegaBoom for a year or 2. Nice speaker, compact, sounds decent, easy to travel with/came in a convenient case. We also own a Fugoo XL Style speaker. IMO, if you want better/clear sound and bass, go with a Fugoo XL. While the MegaBoom is no slouch, the sound clarity and bass response pales in comparison to the Fugoo XL. That's why I docked the UE a couple stars - it's good, but there are better options. You can't go wrong with the MegaBoom, but check out the Fugoo XL too.

These speakers are amazing, i have the red one and it works great. But the only thing that got me disappointed is that its not a 20HR battery life like it says. I played these for 9 hours and it died. I thought well maybe it wasnt fully charged. So i charged it untill it was 100% and when it was I played it through all day and it still started to die within 9 hours. But other than that its a great speaker!

Highly recommend it. And it's waterproof. Great for the beach

This speaker is really awesome for travel. It has great sound,long battery life,but after 7 months it shut down on me. I did a factory reset and it worked for a week and now will only work if plugged in but wont charge. I have read this is a regular issue with this speaker after about 6 months. Customer service replies back after 2 to 3 days but I cant find my receipt for warranty. Don't waste your money on this speaker

What a disappointment this speaker was. I purchased it specifically for a party we were having and could not get it to sync with our I phones, I pads or I pods. It did sync with my laptop so I know the speaker worked, but that didn't help us on the day of the party. Seriously, for a speaker that is sold specifically for wireless use how is it that they can't make it work properly without needing to contact customer service. It would get a 1 star if not for the fact that it did sound OK when paired with the laptop. Also, the speaker comes with no instructions or owners manual which didn't help matters...

Man, UE's quality has gone downhill fast. I bought a brand new Megaboom and the first thing I noticed when I opened the package is that the front rubber strip had smudges all over it (like someone with greasy hands had packed it). If you spend $200+ on a speaker, it shouldn't look like it was already used straight out of the box. Then I tried playing it but the battery critical light immediately came on. Then it died. So I let it charge for about 5 hours (the charging light showed it was charging). I unplugged it and pressed play on my phone. It started playing fine, but then SECONDS later, the battery critical light came back on. I packed it back into it's box and returned it. Such a shame. It looked great, sounded good, but quality control is obviously a major issue as many people seem to be having similar problems. I bought a JBL Charge 3 and while it doesn't seem to be as loud as the Megaboom, its sound quality is noticeably better. Oh yeah, it's still works (unlike the Megaboom). Really disappointed in you UE.

An excellent product. It performed as promised. It had a problem with the waterproof tab, the company replaced the product with little effort. They were wonderful to work with and new speaker is great.

When I saw this for the first time, I was sorta interested. Until I saw a review that Lew (Unbox Therapy) did. I so I got one, and it was great!!! Sound was clear, no Static and bass was Beautiful.

Excellent portable speaker , I actually ask my wife for an Sonos however she bought this instead .. It's worth it's money , we occasionally travel with it

I see post doesn't come with USB it does it's hidden look along round part of case but it has another plug what's that for an that one doesn't come with

I absolutely enjoy this speaker. The sound clarity is excellent and does not distort when maxed out. Is a little pricey but worth it

I was really surprised by the flatness of sound from this speaker. It's gotten great reviews online! In the store, the Megaboom wasn't set up correctly, but I listened to the Boom 2 and thought I liked it. But the sound when I got home was very flat. The equalizer in the app had very little perceptible impact. I think the biggest problem may relate to volume. This speaker seems to be designed to be played at top volume, whereas I want something to listen to somewhat more quietly.

I thought it would be a good idea to buy this speaker due to the fact that it was on sale. The reviews sounded good, so I thought that I would give it a try. I could not have been more disappointed in this speaker. The charging port does not work, making the speaker worthless. I am disappointed in the quality control and product that UE has put out onto the market. Not only that, but I have other smaller speakers that are just as loud as this one for the fraction of the cost. Please do not waste your money on this speaker even if it is on sale.

This has great sound quality. Has plenty of Boom for a party. Only problem is the battery will not charge. It worked for 3 days. Plugged in it still works. That's not the deal with an expensive portable speaker. I would not buy this. Customer service promised a new one and they were sending a confirming email that I have never received.

This is a great easy to use wireless speaker; syncs to my phone easily.

This Megaboom sounds good, great for my office. I really like it.

Bought one of these to use as a speakerphone. It doesn't work with my phone. The documentation is PALTRY, so I went to their web page, which was just as bad. Sent an inquiry to Support, which took 24 hours to acknowledge, and all they did was point me back to the same lame web page. I am returning it, and will avoid this company and its products forever more.
