I bought the UE Megaboom on a saturday. Its now a wednesday and the speaker is already having problems. I try to charge it, the light pulses for about 5 minutes then it just stops. The light is off until i unplug and plug it back in. I tried my 2 other micro usb chargers and no change.

Speaker has great sound but we started experiencing charging issues soon after purchase. Began by only charging 50% after 24 hrs. Now after about a year of ownership will not hold a charge at all. Terrible customer service have attempted to contact customer service with no response. Go with Bose, better quality and they stand behind their product.

I got this as a Black Friday deal. I already have a UE Boom so I assumed this would be the same quality. It is not as loud as the smaller UE Boom. I used it while floating on the river, it was never submerged, but never charged after that. The speaker just makes a popping sound when I try to charge it. I contacted UE Boom tech support but never got any assistance. I would recommend a different speaker.

I've tried a few of these and each one has had issues with charging after only a few weeks... This is a major issue with Logitech's manufacturing processes...

Actually, I like this device, but it was purchased to work with a UE Roll, which it did until the latest firmware update. Logitech decided to pull the rug out from under all the "mixed speaker" users. This device no longer works with the UE Roll. As for the Boom, buyer beware. Logitech can ruin your day with the next software release. I just spent a hour with their tech support. Conclusion: "Tough, you can't roll the update back and we're not changing it." Don't you hate it when a respected company leaves you out in the cold with an update and doesn't care.

Got this from Best Buy exactly a month ago while on vacation and got it wet this week and now the sound cuts in and out and scratchy. Not exactly water proof.

I bought two of these on sale for 249.00 and was not satisfied with my purchase....these aren't even worth the sale price so I took them back.and bought 2 regular booms. There really is no difference in the sound quality between them after you set the equalizer to your liking....95.00 on e-bay for the regular boom or if you want the upgraded boom 2 go to BestBuy. The only difference between the ue boom 1 and 2 is that the boom 2 is waterproof and the boom1 is discontinued but. you can find them.

Purchased this less than 3 years ago. Have used it a total of 5 or 6 times and it now no longer holds a charge. When I plug it in now, the charging light goes on for a few seconds then stops. When I plug it into the wall and turn it on, I get a critical battery error. I have tried multiple adapters and cables with no luck. I contacted Ultimate Ears but was told it only has a 2 year warranty and they would do nothing. This thing cost $200 a few years ago but is now a worthless paperweight. Save your money and buy from a company that cares about their products.

If you ever had Bose 901 speakers, then here is your mini-version complete with poor bass response. Overall audio fidelity is just so-so, but adequate for an outdoor party speaker. Definitely not worth the price. Bought two for enhanced sound, but both failed on first use. Don't buy anything from Best Buy.

I have purchased two Mega Booms in the past few years. The first one died and the battery cannot take a charges. Conveniently, the battery died outside of the warranty period. The other Mega Boom blew its speaker and sounds like crap. Based on this run rate, I expect the other UE bluetooth speaker my wife bought me will fail in the next several months. There is no way in this world I am ever going to buy another UE speaker. They dont last and UE doesnt stand behind their product.

This speaker is advertised as water proof. Mine feel in the pool. I immediately pulled it out and all protective coverings were closed. The exposure to water bricked this allegedly waterproof device. I liked it but I’m not happy it was advertised as waterproof when it was not.

My megabooms will not hold charge. Best Buy will do nothing and Ultimate will do nothing. I have wasted hours on the phone with both and get the same run around. Paid over $500 for speakers. Do not buy.

In less than 2 months, the speaks blewout. I would not recommend this product at this time.

Its says that is waterproof BUT mine stop working as soon as it felt on my dinghys floor with 5 inches of water..
