Gift for son for Christmas, did a lot of research before purchasing. Wanted something small enough to fit in backpack & water proof for the pool. Couldn't be more happy, excellent range & sound.

My wife surprised me with this for my birthday. I immediately loved the sound quality and ease of use so much that I bought a 2nd one so we could have one on each end of our pool. No issues with the music streaming from my phone or computer from inside the house while the speakers are out by the pool. Did I mention they are water proof?

I bought this to use while I travel here and there and it has proven to be quite amazing. Everyone who has listened to it has been impressed with its sound and feature set - waterproof, loud and clear sound, long battery life, ease of use. I highly recommend this product. FWIW, reviews for this speaker support what I've written above.

At first, we were going to get a little portable speaker to replace my old Amazon Tap. We started reading reviews, and found it necessary to go to Best Buy to listen to some of them. We wound up buying a little more than we originally planned after we heard this speaker. It honestly sounds like a hardwired, indoor speaker. This thing is LOUD, but clear. Plently enough base without being distorted. I like high quality speakers, and when we found this one, we decided to spend a little more money to get the quality that this thing puts out. Although we have not tested this out, other reviews say how durable and rugged this thing is. I do believe it!

I am please with the sound of this pretty small speaker. Does great outside. The range between your device and the speaker helps. You can have you device indoors and the speaker outside. Overall I am very please with my purchase. Only thing is that I felt it was a bit high priced. Otherwise I would recommend this powerful speaker.

Here are the pros; decent sound, tough, durable, and best of all plays for a long time on a full charge. Here are the cons; no instructions in the box, and had to reset the Bluetooth speaker because it would not pair with a android Moto phone after originally being paired to a Samsung phone, and i would of never found that out if i hadn't called Motorola and talked with a tech. And because it didn't come with instructions with trouble shooting the device. The box does say that it is made for Apple devices but it still works with android. If Best Buy would have mentioned that in the description of the deal of the day i probably wouldn't have bought it! I know i wouldn't have bought it... i have an android!!! But at the end of the day i bought a $250 L.E. Bluetooth speaker for $100 bucks AND IT WORKS!! CAN'T ASK FOR MORE!!!

I compared the JBL Charge 3, JBL Extreme, UE Boom2 and UE Megaboom as well as others. Both UE's have better overall sound than the JBL's (and I prefer the JBL brand name over any other) but the UE Boom2 lacks bass. The UE Megaboom to me is the best of all (including Bose soundlink) because the sound is superb, the bass very good and the UE app is the best, plus you can link so many of these UE's all together. Also what sets it apart from Bose is that the UE is waterprood and pretty much rugged/ indestructable, take any where with no real concern. And thanks to God the sale price I paid was beyond amazing! Thanks to Best Buy also for their excellent services!

I was looking for a set of blue tooth speakers to use on my lanai. I tried this set out at Best Buy and was very impressed with its strength. The fact that it is also waterproof and could rest in my swimming pool was also a plus. It did not disappoint after I brought it home. Wonderful product, especially for the price.

I bought this as a replacement for an original JBL Charge. This was a definite upgrade in size but also sound. The Charge was just half again as tall as a coke can, and this is noticeably larger. I thought I might have an issue with the size but the Megaboom is still comfortable to carry and still be able to stow in the drink pocket of my backpack. It's very rugged and durable. The only down side I have had is that the charging cable is a specific size and you can't just use any mini usb cable laying around. Overall very happy with this speaker.

I use this when I float rivers, paired with my iPad for extra sound, in my backpack while I’m running, and for music in the bathroom paired with my phone. Great for all those things. Waterproof (I’ve dunked it in the river), nice bass (for its size), color looks cool (purple), setup is easy.

I have two of these now. They sound great. I can put them in different rooms and play at the same time, or in the same room and play them in stereo. They are waterproof so I can use them outside too. I am thinking about getting a couple more. You can play many of them simultaneously.

I bought this speaker for two reasons, 1) to take on a camping trip and have around the house and 2) to mount on my motorcycle so I can listen to music while I ride. On the camping trip, the we went tubing down a river and the speaker was splashed at times, but never had a problem. Furthermore the speaker held up for an entire weekend with only one charge. As for loudness, I am able to hear the music playing while going 50mph on my motorcycle rather clearly. I could still faintly hear the music at 70-80, but I hardly ride that fast on a regular basis. Overall, a fun and awesome speaker and I definitely recommend.

The Mega has really good sound. It is the loudest I have heard in the size and the battery life is spectacular.

This product provides exceptional sound at a very reasonable price. So far we have used it on our boat (as it is waterproof) in the car and in our house. Having 2 for a large room would work well acoustically if you had several guests for a party, but one presents a great sound.

I've had this speaker for a couple of years now and it has held up well. It keeps a charge for a long time and sounds great for it's size. The bass response, though not house shaking or anything, is impressive considering it's diminutive size. I keep meaning to grab a second one when they are on sale again as I imagine a stereo pair will sound incredible. We mostly use this for outdoor activities or around the pool. I bought this one over the Bose as at the time this one was on sale and it is waterproof.

This speaker has great sound. I like the app that goes along with it. Very user friendly. Connects up so you can have multiple speakers at the same time. This is great for outdoors due to in being water proof. Going to be purchasing another one soon. Worth the money spent

I purchased two of them on 12/4/19 for $99 each. These speakers pump!!! The UE app was updated which helped with connecting both speakers simultaneous. The battery life is awesome, the sound quality is excellent, they sound even better outside and super durable. Being able to turn them on from your phone without having to physically touch the speakers is a plus. I am a audiophile, get them if you can find them. Buy 2, trust me

I love my UE Megaboom. I recently picked it up on sale over holidays. It has more bass than the Boom 2 but is on the same level sound wise. It has a little bit longer battery life at 20hrs compared to the Boom 2's 15 hrs. Cool that you can pair it with other UE speakers, not just Megabooms to get a louder sound. The UE app is loaded with features and they seem to be always working on updates. Great durable speaker that should last many years. The Megaboom is a larger version of the Boom 2 with more bass and a longer battery life. Pretty much the same as Boom 2 otherwise. Both are highly recommended.
