My daughter has the regular sized UE speaker and it works all the time - very rarely have to charge it. Everytime I go to use the UE MEGABOOM, it will say "critical battery" and I can't use it because it has to be charged. I've complained to BB store and they just said that it was past the return date. It has been like this since I purchased it.

Good speaker for inside a home or work. It does not come close to the 24 hour charge that the product claim.

Sounded great at first. Now it sounds like the speaker is blown but shouldn't blow with that low of sound

This speaker is ok unless you want something loud, and functional. AS I said in the summary I never write reviews, but i made an exception this time. This speaker work good at low volume. You should read the reviews for the UE megaboom app in the google play store before buying. The on off feature or the equalizer in the app don't work. The battery life is bad, not unusual for this type of product, except the sound degrades even more at 75%. Also requires the stock charger for full charge. I used a random android charger and got 85% in 8 hour. I'm sure the sound would be better if you bought another one for $300 hahaha. Reviews of the app say they have trouble pairing.

I did return this because it was not what I expected. I wanted something much louder and with more Bass.

$249 speaker on sale for $99! 20 hour battery at half volume! Ok I’ll bite. After completely charging I used it one time and within 3 hours battery was already dead. Recharged again and used the next day, lasted about 4 hours. Sound was decent but not what I was hoping. I will most likely be returning this and choosing something different.

It might claim to be waterproof, but it doesn't get close to being as loud as a Bose portable speaker '

Not happy with the battery life. It won’t make it 3-4 hours on full charge when using it. I have to say the sound is really good and has a nice volume. The most disappointing thing is the battery life for such large speaker.

It was just an OK sound. I enjoy music very much and was not impressed by the sound.

2nd day it wouldnt produce sound but would connect. Best buy wouldn't fix the problem only return it. I like the speaker i just want one that works! Emailed ultimate ears for warranty. Been a couple weeks and no response. Update: speaker started working again for no apparent reason.

We wound up returning it because we needed something that would provide more sound.

So after batting it around in my head for quite some time, I finally took the plunge and purchased it. I was originally going to be using it for when I was out fishing, however, I use it way more than that. I use it at home, in the car, at the lake, wheverever. It withstands drops like a champ. I have dropped mine from 4 or so feet onto concrete and barely even a scratch. The waterproofing on it holds up quite well. I use it in the shower as well as right next to the lake while out fishing. I love the app remote which allows you to turn up or down the volume, turn the speaker on and off, as well as change the equalizer. Super easy to use, loud, and amazing sound quality. My one complaint though is the metal loop at the top for connecting a carabineer is not the strongest. It does tend to break. It is spring wire though so it is easy to bend and put it back on. It is also nice that if you have a party, you can connect multiple speakers to one device using the block party mode and you are able to mount them on tripods so you can fill an entire area with whatever you are listening to. Great for students, outdoorsy people and even for people who want something just for at home.

Average product, I was looking for more bass and vplume. Good for young guys
