Waterproof a plus , doesnt hold enough charge is the negative

Great sound in a small package. Nice color selection. Batteries fry easy.

Bought this for a shower speaker. Could not be happier. I am probably going to buy 2 more for my office. The only thing I wish they had was a different charging system. Micro usb is not my favorite.

Great sound and bass performance during my music lisening

Everything about this speaker is great, the features are on point. But after a year of regular use, the battery doesn't hold a charge anymore, even though it auto-stops when it's charged completely. It started out great, but now I'm looking to replace it.

This is an extremely satisfying speaker. I'd give it 4.5 stars if i could. The sound quality, build, and portability are amazing for a speaker this size (about the size of a softball". In bedroom sized spaces it is plenty loud but will quickly get swallowed up if the listening space is much larger. I like my bass medium to loud and this can do that. Hard-core bass enthusiasts will be better off with another choice. Another unexpected virtue is the ability to pair these for true stereo. Only true complaint is the USB-mini connector, a 1st world problem too be sure; it just keeps me from giving it a true "5" rather than a "rounded off" 5. Highly recommend getting this for the right listening situation. Lastly, the bluetooth is nothing short of other worldly- UE says 150 feet (!) and I'll testify to perfect connection 80 feet from the source through walls.

This is the device for she. She doesn't need the power and bass. She just wants to listen on the beach or while reading a book. She likes the simple life. I like the price. She can take it anywhere.

Excellent mini speaker for the money. It has more power than the previous version. I will recommend this small speaker over others brands.

This speaker is the perfect size! It can fit in my bag which is so convenient to travel with. But it’s not too small where it’s easy to misplace. I was amazed at the sound quality and volume coming from this because it’s on the smaller size, I didn’t expect it to sound so good. It comes with the speaker, usb cable and directions. Most things now come with a cable but not the block that the cable goes in and the other end goes into the wall, this is the same. This paired very easily and quickly with my phone and laptop. It came right up on my phone within seconds of turning it on. It’s supposed to be waterproof, though I haven’t attempted to use it in water but it seems pretty rugged and sturdy. I did use it in the shower but it was hanging and didn’t really get wet so I won’t count that as waterproof. It had a couple of falls as the kids were so excited to hold it but it stayed playing and didn’t miss a beat. It actually looks really nice and simple to use. It comes in different colors. It has the volume up/down on the front using the + or -. The top is the power button and the double up if you have another one you want to use along for extra sound. The micro usb port is hidden in back by a small door. This makes sense for it to keep water out of the system since it’s waterproof. The bottom has a button you press for outdoor boost. It stays charge for a while. We use over the weekend at a celebration event for hours and continued using at home since then. It played well the whole time and I was surprised that it didn’t need charging until yesterday. It did give a little sound when the battery was low and needed charging and light changes. You can also play and pause with the top bottom and you can skip the current song. You cannot replay a song though so you can’t go backwards. I would definitely recommend and thinking of getting another so we can use two together for next summer.

I like it because I loved the 2 but there's quite literally zero upgrade. Other than brighter colors it's the EXACT SAME thing. Ue made us wait 2years for this lol. And apparently UE hates USBC.

Bought this with intention for using with an infant as a sleeping aid on-the-go. The startup, and bluetooth noises are very loud and were unsuitable for my use case. Solid speaker otherwise.

I mainly use this speaker outside in my pool area i really like the pairing feature of them to pair both speakers together for an even bigger sound

Returned because it wouldn't pair with the 2 previous versions I already have; not clear in online description/help/support prior to purchase. They are good and I like the product, it just didn't work as I hoped.

Had one and obviously needed a second to pair and good golly miss Molly it was a grand ole decision!! Get you the Wonderboom 3 and get booming!!

This speaker is very good. Depending on the sound profile you prefer I'd dare say it's best in class. I'll start with the design. As with most Ultimate Ears products, the design is great. It's very well built, sturdy, and will have no problem standing up to accidental drops, water spills, or dust (as in you've got it on a work site and there's particulates in the air). The mesh that surrounds most of the exterior feels like the same tough material on the UE Roll 2 I've been carrying around for years. The rubberized surfaces not covered by the mesh feel durable and should not crack, abrade, or scuff easily. Also of note is that the carry/anchor loop on the upper back has some elasticity and has a rubberized center both of which should prevent it from wearing our or tearing due to tension over time or being clipped and unclipped (using a carabiner for instance) onto surfaces like fences. Power-wise the spec sheet says you'll get up to 14 hours on a charge. I've gotten as much as 10, but then I'm usually listening outside at between 65-75% volume. Most of these "up to XX hours" usually mean at about 50% volume the whole way through. So, solid battery life that'll get you through a work day or day trip for sure. Sound-wise this is an excellent speaker. I say this with 2 footnotes, however. It is excellent as compared to other speakers in its class and price point. It won't hang with bigger kids (think JBL Flip 6 or JBL Charge 5), but then those speakers cost $30 to $80 more and honestly don't sound much better. And I say this as a devout JBL Charge 4 user of several years. My other footnote is that preferred sound profile can vary significantly from person to person. I'm sure there will be many people out there who will think I'm nuts to say what I said regarding the aforementioned JBL speakers and say that the Wonderboom 3 sounds much better. Indeed if you like emphasis and crispness on the mids and highs and definitely acceptable but nothing extraordinary on the low end, then you will love this speaker. The low end is not bad by any means, but it didn't wow me either. I have some other miscellaneous on the sound as well. It gets VERY loud for a speaker of this size and form factor. Also, even with the volume maxed I was amazed with the minimal distortion. Also due to the form factor it sounds equally good from any position around it and can fill up a moderately sized room with sound without breaking a sweat. I didn't really like the way the outdoor mode changed the sound (definitely skews emphasis toward the mids/highs more) so I kept it off most of the time. As I mentioned earlier though, your preference may vary. Lastly I want to talk about one other interesting tidbit and the one thing I definitely don't like about this speaker. In looking through the documentation that came with it I came across instructions for disassembly and removal of the battery and it looks as though it could potentially be user replaceable if you wanted to. I'm not sure if the company would be willing to sell a new battery separately, but if so that only serves to extend it's overall life and make this speaker an ever greater deal. Sadly, it's 2022 and somehow the Wonderboom 3 still has a microusb charging port. WHY Ultimate Ears? WHY? Please please PLEASE use USB-C for the Wonderboom 4. We're tired of having to keep multiple types of charging cables on hand. All in all, I really like the Wonderboom 3 for everything it is and would honestly recommend it to anyone. You get a lot of bang for your buck with this one and it is truly a "go anywhere" type of speaker.
