Wonderboom Loud and Strong

I've used it on several occasions, most recently in a large gym for a reentry fair. We didn't have an official DJ, but this little baby took care of it.

Average sound quality but plenty loud

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this speaker because it was one of the first Bluetooth speakers I ever listed to. It was years ago at a best buy and it couldn’t been the first or second gen wonder boom 4. I recall the sound being full and balanced. I also recall being surprised at the amount of bass this tiny speaker was able to produce. I didn’t purchase the speaker at the time because it was out of my budget and didn’t have a real need for it. Fast forward some years and I find that the wonderboom 4 has a usb-c charge port and other upgrades since the 1st or 2nd generation. I found a great deal on it and decided to purchase it. I was excited to listen to it again and my expectations were high because of my initial impressions of it years ago but I was extremely disappointed once i listened to it. The speaker produces tiny sound with no bass and a lack in mid frequency range. The sound is harsh and highs are piercing. I will say that this does not perform well indoors but does pretty well outdoors. It is plenty loud and I do like that it is 360 sound. For these reasons I have decided to keep the speaker. I do not use it for personal listening, instead I use it in my classroom where my desk is in the middle of the room. Works perfectly for outdoor activities with my class or 22 students.

Amazing Bluetooth waterproof speaker

Love the sound quality and how you can option for outdoor mode. The bass to the treble to how loud it can get is amazing.

I brought many though out the few years as birthday gifts and Christmas gifts. UE has never disappoint me. This my go to Bluetooth and every one i got UE loves it.

It’s good for the price but no app support

With the windows up it sounds great, windows down not so much but that’s to be expected it’s a compact speaker. PSA ANNOUNCEMENT: IT DOES NOT HAVE APP SUPPORT. I have an old model the mega blast I think. It has app support so you can see the battery life and mess with the equalizer. This does not have app support. Ultimate Ears does not support their own speaker in their apps. Not really a big deal but it’s a pain having to do their little button presses to figure out how much battery. And even then it doesn’t give you a number percentage it says “charged” or optimal charging. So there’s that. Other than that it’s been a great little speaker
