Great streaming TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love my new tv! I had planned on getting a TV for the bedroom and Best Buy was out of the TV I wanted. The insignia 32" Roku TV was available at a great price! I had no idea what Roku even was. The set up was so easy and I have come to love what this TV is all about! Great picture and sound with a whole lot of features I didn't even expect! Who needs cable?? I will recommend this TV to all my friends. The only reason for 4 stars is that I haven't had the time to fully get to know all of the fine features this TV offers!

Great smart TV for the price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had a Roku player for years and loved it. I needed a smart TV for our bedroom with WiFi for streaming. The picture on the Insignia was very close to the Samsung and JG in it's class. The Roku is very intuitive and I had the whole TV set up in 15 minutes including connecting all of my streaming services to the Roku. One note, you need to go under settings and make sure you have the default view go to your cable or satelite source first, or there is extra remote work just to get to your broadcast provider.

I love this TV so much I bought two.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the TV. It works well. Easy setup. Put in my son's bedroom and in the main bedroom. Picture quality of TV is good sound good everything over all good. The remote offers many functions to include timers. Easy to use remote. I have not linked the TVs to the Internet although the option is there. Great price for all options that the TV offers. IPhone to TV now since Christmas and nothing has gone wrong with the TV. Again I am very pleased with the TV.

Very Nice Overall
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is a lot to like about the TV because of the Roku feature. However, because of the Roku you get a bare bones Roku remote control for the TV. That's not a problem if you have cable TV since you will have a separate remote for that. Unfortunately, I have an antenna for TV so I have to scroll to channel surf instead of punching in channel numbers. Also, there's no flashback button on the remote, and there's no feature to delete channels I do not want. The non-Roku Insignia TV's have a much nicer remote.

Access to home cable through Roku/Slingbox
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Insignia 32" is an excellent value (on sale $199.00) - we leverage the Roku interface with Slingbox on an iPad to access our home cable system from a second home. The interface was easy to setup , the picture is excellent and rarely falters - I am still blown away by this technology! The only issue is in the "Smart" TV tag - I thought all Smart TV's had access to browser; however, this gap would not have affected my decision to purchase this solid tv. Will probably purchase another one for the RV ( weighs only 10lbs!).

Picture Quality is EXCELLENT!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The biggest thing I can say about this TV is that the picture is excellent. Not just good or ok, but GREAT! I am used to expensive Sony TVs for the past 15 years, so I really wanted a good picture but I didn’t want to spend a lot on a small 32” bedroom TV. It sits on my desk and I can project my laptop screen to the TV when I want to. I had to get a second cable box (which only cost me another $11/month on my cable bill) otherwise you have no real remote control with numbers or a screen menu guide to navigate channels with . Not only that, but it really does enhance the picture quite a bit, however I will say that the picture was really good even when I had just set it up and watched TV off of the free antenna channels after scanning for them. The settings for the picture are extremely user friendly. You just hit the * button on the Insignia remote, choose TV brightness, Picture mode, and Audio mode and you can set it up in seconds, or change it without having to go through a complicated + or – deal. I like the settings to be Normal/Movie/Theater for TV brightness/Picture mode/Audio mode. It makes the picture quality look super sharp and rich. The nice thing is that if I change the channel and watch a sports game, 2 or three clicks of the * button and I can change the setting to a brighter mode fit for sports. Then I can go right back to my favorite picture settings when I switch back to Movie mode for what I like as my default setting. The sound is great, the built-in speakers are excellent, project good sound, and I didn’t need to buy any external speakers in order to use this TV. I wasn’t sure about the brand name Insignia, but they sure did a fantastic job on the quality of the screen and picture. I am very impressed- I feel like I got a great deal for the money and I’m happy that I didn’t need to spend a ton of money to get it! Model # is NS-32DR420NA16 SKU: 1242815

Fantastic TV for young children!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this thing from Best Buy... they had it for $159 and I had $10 in rewards points or whatever. Anyway, I bought this for our 4 year old daughter. She's pretty advanced as far as technology goes, and we wanted her to have a TV in her room but didn't want her having the free range of every cable or Direct TV channel. So, we figured we'd try this out. At first, I was kind of skeptical because I didn't have any experience with Roku, but once I got it setup and online, I found that I can tailor the home screen (which she sees) to only show the channels I want her to see. I have to just trust her that she won't add anything. But, I do not have a payment method setup so she cannot purchase, and even to add a new channel there is a pass code, so it seems safe. After 2 months of use, we are very pleased with the TV and what it does and lets us do as far as content control for her. It's very nice and we couldn't be happier.

Love Insignia
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been looking at 32" Insignias for my livingroom so I could move the 26" to the bedroom. I had also been considering a Roku so I have the option to drop cable movie channels and use something else. Now I have both in one TV. I love this TV. My only complaint is the same, goes back to the selection page instead of opening where you left it last time (cable box).

Very pleased
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: We are very happy with this TV and already using Roku it was definitely an added benefit. Picture is great, sound is average. Overall the menu interface is good, much better than Samsung which is very slow and a real pain to navigate. Cons: Remote could use some tweaking. The OTA signal meter is lacking and there is no Ethernet port.

Good Smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to use the Time Warner Cable app so I would be 'wireless'. I tried the Samsung UN32J5500AFXA and found that the time to change channels in the TWC app took about 10-12 seconds, even when using Ethernet. I then tried the Vizio E32-C1. It didn't even have a TWC app. I paired it with a Roku 3 and that worked great but two remotes to deal with and $330 total. This Insignia TV was my third try and is working very well. Channel changes take ~ 5 seconds...that is tolerable. I also like that I can delete the HDMI inputs from the menu screen - I only run this as a smart TV so it is nice for it to start right up in smart mode and no error messages about weak signals (like on the Samsung). I can also use my iPhone and iPad as remotes. The picture is good, the sound is about what you might expect for a small TV - we use it to watch the news in the kitchen so nothing too demanding.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this tv as a gift for my boyfriend. He instantly fell in love with it because of all the features. He especially likes the bluetooth feature so he can listen to the tv through his Bluetooth headset. He enjoys watching Netflix & Roku. Great TV for a fair price.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is one of the least-expensive 32-in 1080p "Smart" TV you can buy, and I'm happy to report that it's actually quite a good value. I bought this TV to replace a cheaper TCL brand 720p Roku TV that was horribly unstable (restarting itself and freezing several times a day). This Insignia TV was a little bit more expensive, but has a higher quality screen and is stable. We've had it for a few days now, streaming several hours a day from Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu, as well from a DLNA server on our local network, and we haven't encountered any show-stopping problems yet. Some minor complaints: 1) The remote lacks a numeric keypad, but does include several dedicated buttons for services we're unlikely to use. It would be nice if we could re-map these buttons to other services. 2) The Roku Media Player doesn't support as many video codecs as I'd like. It does support most of the major ones, like H.264 (MP4), but you might need to transcode some of your files if they're in less common formats. This is only an issue if you're streaming from a media server on your network or playing files from a USB storage device. But I have no regrets about this purchase. I'd buy it again. In fact, I'll probably upgrade to a larger version of this TV if I see one on sale.
