Decent but has issues that you should know...
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I would consider this purchase an average but decent Smart TV. The interface is simplistic and user friendly. The picture quality is good. I would have given it a 5 star rating, however the WiFi connectivity issues I experienced prevents me from doing so. I would advise you to perform a quick google search of "roku wifi 014", so that you can be aware of the common WiFi connection issues you could possibly experience if you buy this TV. I am an IT professional, and the only way I could get this device to connect to WiFi was through Double NAT (google search if you do not know what this means). Had I not had a second wireless access point/router whereby I could establish an alternative WiFi connection, I probably would have returned this product thinking that it was an OOBF. This device does not come with an Ethernet port, therefore the alternative you have in updating the software is by using USB (download the update file from Roku to a USB stick and manually update the software). Updating the software is what Roku recommends if you cannot connect via WiFi. I tried this method and it did not work, due to the error message "invalid file". I used the hotspot feature on my phone, and modified my main wireless configuration several times and I could not get connected. As I aforementioned, only through Double NAT could a WiFI connection be established, Just note that without WiFi this SMART TV would be pointless.

Posted .Thank you for the technical feedback, as not being able to connect to Wifi does nullify many of the benefits of the Roku functionality. Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Television was very easy to set up, Great picture and Roku is a big plus. The TV even has buttons on the side in case the remote was to not work. A lot of other TV's do not have buttons. I love this TV.

Great TV for a Great Price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this TV for our bedroom. Have never owned a smart TV but have a Roku box on our main TV and love Roku. This TV mounted to our wall easily with a separate mount that we bought with it. Set up was easy because I had Roku account already. Awesome picture and sound! Do have some interruption with the Wifi but our bedroom is at the back of the house and our router is in the basement on the other side of the house, feel this problem is related to our router as we have the same issues with interruption on our main TV with streaming. Love, Love, Love this TV!

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've always been a big fan of Insignia TVs. My father-in-law has a Roku that I really like. Seemed like a good bet to get an Insignia with a Roku built in. However, I was expecting there to be a normal TV remote and then an additional Roku remote. Not the case. The Roku-style remote does everything. I was very turned off by that at first, but as I've been using it, it is surprisingly intuitive. And simplifies things by only having one remote to worry about.

Great picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I don't have cable so I bought an inexpensive antenna to use ($15) and I was supprised that I got over 30 channels and the picture is perfect. Better than any TV I have ever owned! The sound isn't great, but you can adjust it to the best of your liking. Theirs no numbers on the remote to change channels, just an arrow up & down, but when all is said and done its A real bang for your buck! I'm very happy with it.

Good picture
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this 32" Insignia ROKU TV for 7 months. I just bought a larger Insignia ROKU since I now have a larger space. Wow, nice picture, no squigley edges or hopping dots on a still image of round lines, excellent color, clarity. (I fixed TVs at Circuit City and notice what many don't.) Setup is easy. Fiddle with the color and sound if you like, sound is good enough but I connected the TV's Optical Digital output to an A/V receiver. I want to see digital inputs on 2 channel stereo receivers, like the Onkyo TX-8050 has. A BD/DVD player will spin a CD but many have only a Digital output now. (I buy HDMI, digital cords, longer AC cords online - for $X not $XX.) Getting connected to WiFi happens once you get past the on screen keyboard, (left, up, click, down, left ...) you know. I like the cool attitude of the on screen manual writers. Software updates take only a few minutes, if this TV pauses when turned on it is updating. Delays with getting on Netflix or other services seems minimal. If you want religious (Christain-Protestant, Judean, Catholic, Buddhist) TV stations, there are plenty, also find PBS, on-line Radio, lots of free movie channels but some share the same titles. Some local TV stations are available but I haven't found live feeds except on BIG name networks. Use a PC or iThing to register for some of the stations, first time shows a code, go to their website, enter the code. There isn't a Web browser like a Smart TV, but a PC with an HDMI output can be plugged in. Insignia HDTVs look as nice as the big brand names for less money. Save $200 and get a sound bar!

I loved Roku, but put it in a TV and I'm ecstatic
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this little smart TV. Went to Best Buy to get an additional Roku for my second TV, and saw this TV for not much more so I decided to give it a go. Was not expecting to be wowed, but Wow! I love it. Great picture, great sound, the wifi works just as well as the Roku 3. Well done Insignia and Roku, well done.

Best bang for your buck!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love this TV! I didn't want to spend much money at all, so this price tag was definitely why I first chose this TV. I was initially concerned about quality because it is a "cheaper" TV compared to the big name Sony and Samsung TVs... but after using this TV for about 2 months, I have no problems at all, it is easy to use, and the built in Roku player works effortlessly. I'm sure the bigger name TVs have better picture quality and color.. but to be honest, I'm very content with the picture quality of this TV. I also found an app that allows me to stream online content to the Roku player effortlessly as well. I am seriously considering buying a much bigger version of this TV in the near future. The only criticism that I would make, is this TV doesn't handle dark/night scenes very well. The picture overall gets pretty dark, and it's hard to see what's happening. For example, if it's a gunfight scene at night, you really can't tell who's who until the fight is over. But overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase, and would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for decent quality and high affordability.

Great TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the TV to replace the one in the living room. I wanted to have a HD Smart TV. I currently have 2 Insignia TV's one of which I am using as a computer monitor. I have not had any problems with those with either on of the TV's so it was easy for me to make the choice to get another one. The picture is clear and crisp. The sound is good but if you want to have theater sound you may want t invest in a sound bar. All in all I would say well worth the money.

Easy to use smart TV
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second smart TV and I was hesitant to buy the TV with the Roku. Purchased as a bedroom TV. This TV is everything the reviews state. Easy, easy on screen walk through set up and easier to navigate than I would have ever thought possible. I would buy this brand and setup again without any hesitation. I have already recommended to others about this TV. I can hardly wait to begin using.

Amazingly wonderful, even for legally blind
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It took me several months to decide to buy this tv. It replaced an old bulky boxy 480i tv made in the 1990s. The difference between the two is just spectacular. I chose a Roku tv as I no longer have cable or satellite. But, this tv will accept them if I ever go back. Set up was a breeze. The most difficult part was remembering my wi-fi password. I had a Roku 1 with my old tv, and once I logged into my Roku account on this tv, it downloaded all the channels I had on the Roku 1. Just not in the same order I previously had them. As I have never had an HD tv, I have nothing to compare this to. I will say, however, I am legally blind. My one good eye, which is at 20/200, slightly skews things. I mention this because I struggled with getting the 720 vs 1080, on a fixed income. For me, everything is crisp and clear. Only exception so far is the ending credits on older shows such as Frasier. They are readable, just not crisp and clear as they are on newer shows. There is also the screen saver, which I actually enjoy. And the volume bar location, when you change the volume, is off along the right side. At first it was annoying, as I was used to it being at the bottom, but now I quite appreciate its location, out of the way. I have only had and used this tv for 6 full days. So of course everything is working perfectly. If anything changes I will update my review.
