This movie is a great introduction to Louis Zamperini's story and will likely make you want to read Laura Hillenbrand's book with the same title. It's well-told, acted, and directed. Definitely worth the time.

"Unbroken" is based on a true story that concerns an Olympian athlete who serves in the military during World War II and is captured by the enemy. Although he is punished by a jealous enemy officer, his spirit is not broken. The film is excellent.

I had seen the commercials for this and thought to go see it in the cinema, but never got around to it. Found the Steenbok for a great price and decided why not? Loved the movie - based on a real story - and would recommend it to anyone who is a history buff.

While the movie may not have held up to the book (which would have been difficult, fantastic read) the Blu-ray's quality makes this one worth buying. The video is great, but the Dolby Atmos soundtrack really shines. Even if your room isn't upgraded to Atmos yet, this is a stunner.

This movie was absolutely amazing. The story is one of triumph for Louis, and his journey inspired by hope, resilience, and faith. A must watch. The best moment in the movie, without giving a spoiler, is when you see him triumph with just looking someone in the eyes.

An outstanding story of survival and forgiveness. I followed the true story of the WWII vet on CBS Sunday Morning, and was amazed to see it come to the big screen.

Angelina Jolie produced an award winning film with Unbroken about a young olympic contender who went into the war and was inprisoned by the Japanese during WWII. Based on a true story - this movie is done very well, stays close to the book and is worth seeing.

i usually go to best buy blu ray hunting and one patricular day i ran into the 5.99$ bin and i couldnt believe my eyes i found unbroken on steelbook i heard it was nominated for best picture and for the price i got it it was an excellent find.

First of all, having read the book, I would assert that to make a movie based on the book had to be a difficult task. The real story has enough complexity to render a film, within reasonable time limits, virtually impossible to reasonably precise accuracy. I would call this movie "Unbroken Lite". Nonetheless worth watching.

Unbroken is a truly awesome movie that rates even higher, in my book, because it is based on a true story. It twisted me up inside to see what he had to endure for his survival. My hats off to the makers of this film and telling such a tremendous story.

I've been waiting to see this movie. Finally found it at a good price. It was well worth the wait. EXCELLENT MOVIE!! If you love war movies &/or true stories of people who overcome seemingly hopeless situations, then this is the movie for you.

The movie is great. Of course you have the amazing picture and sound with Blu-ray. The extras with the movie are fantastic. More about Louie's life, including an interview with him and family members. Definitely worth having in your collection.

Very excellent movie. Very inspiring telling of not only one man's determination, but to see what all those heroes endured. Any movie or depiction of WW II events or triumphs is always truly inspiring and draws you in closer to their struggles.

The first time that I see this it inspires me. No matter what you are going through you can overcome everything in this life. In other words this movie will show you what this two words "NEVER QUIT" means.

There aren't many movies that I've felt like I needed to post a review about but "Unbroken" is one that deserves a few nice words. This one's not just worth a rental, I recommend you consider the purchase. It's too good to just watch it once!

Awesome movie. This was well written and directed. I am glad that his story was told and am sorry he died before the movie was finished and he was unable to see the finished product. I have watched this move 3 times and will watch again.

True story about an amazing man and about a very important aspect of our history and what happened to our prisoners of war in other countries. This should be taught in schools. If history is forgotten, it will be repeated! That is scarry.
