I describe this film as like "The Passion of the Christ." It's hard to watch, but so important. Not for kids, but for all patriots for sure.

unbelievable as to atrocities by the japanese and how the hero withstood all of it. then to forgive them in later years as he became a devout christian. what a fantastic story and true as well.

I was looking for a good movie with great sound effects to test my Dolby atmos system. This has an awesome sound track and was exactly what I was looking for. It's a great movie as well.

This is a movie that will hold your attention from beginning until end. Based on a true story, it has war action scenes, lifeboat survival scenes, POW drama, and patriotism. Highly recommended.

Greatly enjoyed this movie. Like finding out more World War II era history, especially from the South Pacific. An emotionally charged movie that related the experience of an American veteran.

I purchased this movie and was not disappointed, I got the dvd not the blu-ray, but it was still awesome. I suggest getting the special edition for more in depth behind the scenes coverage.

Angeline Jolie has told Louis Zamperini's story with humanity and dignity. Well worth a viewing, the Blu-ray presentation is very good on both video and audio, if not the absolute best. Steelbook packaging is nice, but not worth paying extra.

This was a great film to watch. It was inspiring; moving you to see what the Human Will can overcome and stand strong when faced with adverse conditions by the hand of another human.

The movie was really good. I'm going to be honest. I only watched it because of Miyavi. I'm a huge fan of his music so of course I wanted to see his first film. He did a really good job.

It is a long story but based on a true event in history. If you are into old war movies them you will love this one. Although it was a longer movie it was definitely worth the viewing.

Heard the story and am glad to see the movie also. Very interesting story, graphic physical violence but great ending especially the personal interviews in the Bonus Features.

A good movie and similar to the book, although for the time issue some things in the movie had to either be omitted or combined. I would not recommend this movie for children though.
