First time I watched it was ok, second time I really started questioning if this was a real story based. Hard to get answers cause this is a director's point of view and I'm sure it has been modified or changed many situations in real life.

Angelina Jolie still needs to learn a thing or two about directing but this is a great effort. Beautiful cinematography. Audio and image are both stellar. The steelbook itself is incredibly beautiful. Yes, people, it is white, not zero!

The movie tells half the story focusing mainly on the war. The real story of unbroken is the drama after the hero returns with mental scaring from being a prisoner of war and fights through his nightmares to become...Unbroken.

I love my new Blu Ray player and the great definition it has when playing movies. However, this movie was very slow to pick up into action. Most of the interesting parts were in the previews and I was not impressed.

So this was an entertaining movie but not the most engaging. The book was quite a bit better and I suggest reading it rather than watching the movie. You'll be much more moved than you will by the film.

The book is far better then the movie because it gives a much better view of what life was like on the raft and just how badly he was treated by most of the Japanese soldiers. It is a wonder he lived through it.

The story behind the movie is amazing. The movie itself lacks soul and really falls short of how great this movie should be. Rent it before you buy it because the replay value is just not there for me.

Picked this up for five bucks a few weeks ago. Based on a true story which was cool but I zoned in and out during parts of the movie. Not bad but not great either. Pick it up when on sale.

It was a good movie that told the basic story but I feel some of the best parts of his story was left out. I know it's hard to fit a book into a movie but the mark was missed on this one.
