The film was generally alright. I wished they showed more on what happened to her daughter instead of relying on flashbacks. I think the plot would have flowed better if it had. This steelbook is great though! It includes 4k. I personally think all of bestbuy's steelbook releases should contain a 4k version of the movie, if they would kindly. :)

I am a fan of the Underworld Franchise. I saw this film in the theater. I knew I was going to purchase it. Best Buy had a very good sale and I jumped on it instead of waiting months or even years before buying. Understand...I was gonna but this anyway. I was prepared to with a long time so the price would go down. Best Buy had a very good sale.

Fans of the series will find this latest installment to be as good, if not better, than those preceding it. Of course, previous films must be seen to fully understand what is going on in this one, a definite continuation of film 4. Here, Selene is hunted by both Lycans and Vampires. As in the other films, the CGI and action scenes are top-notch.

Although it can stand by itself, it helps immensely to have seen the prior movies. The cinematography is dark with little color but that's in line with the prior movies. The odd point here is that there doesn't seem to be anyone inhabiting the cities in this sequel except werewolves and vampires. Aside from this, the story unfolds well, the CG is exceptional and the action fast and furious. Underworld fans won't be disappointed.

I like the movie. Is not as good as the ones before this one, but not bad.

Ok when I watch films I do so on a 180" movie theater screen with full 7.1 surround sound and the Buttkicker transducer system. This is not to Boast but to give an idea of the clarity that I rate both 4k and 1080p films. 1st off regardless if you are huge into 4k or still collect Blu-ray; I will add that with today's (Oppo) upscaling technology along with upscaling technology on theater projectors that the difference between Blu-ray & 4k is minimal. I will say that going over 180" that you will likely see a difference and recommend 4k for 150"+ screens. The picture and sound quality were great. It was a bit dark (actually dark, not dark as in the context). The story moved along from Awakening but seems very forgettable. Its sad too considering how hard the cast worked on this film. Its fallen from grace. The original trilogy is all Id recommend watching.... I still recommend this, but when its on Hulu or Netflix.. Stream it don't buy it....

I have enjoyed all of the Underworlds so far. Some are better than others and this one seems to fall right in the middle somewhere. I'm glad they solved the mystery of Michaels disappearance while not dwelling on it to long. Good action, new characters, unusual plot twists and no sparkling vampires. What more could you ask for.

A great addition to the franchise! Hope we don't have to wait too long for the next! Anything with this girl is fantastic! She is extremely talented! I've never seen a bad Kate Beckinsale movie...like ever! Plus she's absolutely adorable, beautiful, cute, and really sexy! I would offer my throat to her in a heartbeat! She could drain the life out of me anytime she likes! Keep up the good work Katie! Robert

Great action sequences. Missing the Michael character in this story.

This is supposed to be the final chapter in this series. Of course we've heard that before for other movie series so we'll see. If it truly was the last of the Underworld movies then it went out with a good movie and not something you'd regret seeing. If you are a fan of the rest of the series you will enjoy this one as well.

Not as good as the previous ones. It was ok. Not a repeat watch.

Ok but not up to par with the 2 originals and where is michael?

I love movies and this one is a lot of Fun! Kate Beckinsale returns as the death dealer and is wonderful. She is the right parts tired, frustrated and heartbroken over the loss of Michael and their daughter. She has lost the desire to kill, but finds it again and some really cool skills from a new clan of spiritual vampires. All in all an excellent entry into the series and a great popcorn movie.

Kate Beckinsale kills it. The rest of the cast, not so much.

There is a fight scene toward the end of the movie in a frozen area at the bottom of an ice cliff. If the HDR settings are incorrect this scene will look foggy and white. The actual scene has a very blue coloration. So if that scene looks blue, it's right ) (check your bluray players output settings to correct this)

I have to admit I was skeptical about another Underworld movie. I didn't care for the last one. However, this one makes up for it! I only have 2 real complaints - 1st is how the director shows what happened to the hybrid Michael. 2nd is the movie could've been a little bit longer as it feels the ending was rushed.

Fans of the movie franchise may have have differing opinions whether this movie is good or not, IMO its just a fun popcorn movie with action/horror. Only down side is the lack of audio commentary, considering other entries in the series had this extra... Check out Blu-ray .com for more AV insight.

So I read the reviews and expected a so so attempt at extending the franchise. What I didn't take into account was that whoever gave that review was probably not as big a fan of the series as I was. It exceeded expectations and if you are a fan too you will be very pleased. UHD was high quality as well.

Vampires and Lycans there are plenty to go around in this culmination of the Underworld story. the story isn't quite a 5 star but the 4K Dolby makes this a cool movie. The open ending leaves wiggle room for Beckinsale to return as Selene. 4k Ultra and Dolby Atmos make the bites, the growls and the blood very real. It's a worthy watch any any evening.

Here is a short of this movie giving you my opinion. It's OK if your a fan of underworld only issue we're the writer of the movie left out a lot of parts that didn't make the movie complete. I'm sure that's the reason for it being too short so assuming another is on it's way shortly. Bit overall because a fan of this franchise I would give it 5 stars and my recommendation .
