Goes well with the collection of Underworld movies

Great item works well no issue to have very simple.

This movie was captivating and kept our attention.

It may be impossible for anybody who is not already a dedicated fan of the Underworld franchise to truly follow and appreciate this latest chapter in the storyline. After all these years, Ms. Kate Beckinsale remains remarkably fit and seemingly ageless (quite appropriate for portraying a Vampire) and inhabits her stoical character of the Death Dealer Selene. Weary of all the death, hunted by Lycan and Vampire alike, Selene finds refuge in the Northern Coven thus expanding the Underworld universe and introducing us to a new set of characters and opening up the possibilities of future installments in the franchise.

This was a good movie with it's action sequences. Don't expect that it will challenge you with it's storyline but if you've watched other underworld movies, you'll enjoy it

At its beginning, this 5th movie of the Underworld series has an extensive recap of the first 4 movies. A viewer thereby can generally understand the back story for this 5th movie without have seen the previous ones. For me, a point of interest in the earlier movies was the relationship between Selena and Michael. Michael is no longer around in movie 5, and thus that's a loss for the plot. Nevertheless, in 5, Selena (Kate Beckinsale) remains the lethal, visually stunning female superhero (in a world of vampires and werewolves) that she was in the earlier movies.

I brought this even though I do not have a 4k tv. I do have a bluray player however. This is an excellent movie. I felt the tried to keep up with todays movies and over did it with the look of the villian ( making him huge and then still seeing his face)but they did it in the last UnderWorld too ( abnormally large). It did work for the last movie tho. I did not like that this didnt come in 3d. The last underworld did. but the the quality was excellent. 5 stars . and if I get a 4k tv eventually I can watch the 4k version. and Im sure the bluray players for 4k can play hd movies but I still have bluray players anyway. so ill stay watching this version as long as I can.

I came to the UNDERWORLD series late, but I love it. Caught this one in the theater and I couldn't wait to pick it up on blu and add it to my UNDERWORLD collection. The blu ray does not disappoint - it looks and sounds really great, even in the darker scenes, and my only complaint is that there is no option for 3D in the USA with this one. Very dumb. I would have bought that at full price on day one. But this is what we have, and it's good for what it is. If you are a fan of the series - you will love it!

While I am disappointed that Sony did not release this film on 3D blu ray in the US, I still have to give this item a positive review because the HD and UHD video and audio quality is good and because this film was a return to form for the Underworld franchise. While I enjoyed the previous film Underworld: Awakening, I felt that it strayed too far away from the roots of the franchise. I felt that Blood Wars was an improvement as it returned to the atmosphere, Gothic setting, and style of the first two films which are cult classics among fans. If you like this franchise or if you liked Blood Wars, I would recommend this blu ray.

I have yet to see an Underworld starring Kate Beckinsale that wasn't an enjoyable bit of popcorn goodness. Rise of the Lycans can't be blamed on her. Underworld is definitely the action movie franchise that just keeps coming back. If you are a fan of the genre or if you liked the other movies (not counting Rise of the Lycans, that was just a disaster) then you will enjoy Blood Wars. Lots of action and Kate Beckinsale running around in tight leather outfits. What more do you really need?

If they keep making Underworld movies with Kate Beckinsale, there are loyal followings that will keep buying them! My family is in that group for sure! Vampires, Lycans (werewolves), action, fight scenes, good stories... what else can you ask for! This newest one goes places we may not have envisioned, but watch it and enjoy the ride! I don't think the series is over yet, so if you have watched from the start, don't stop now! If you haven't seen the prior ones, they do a recap to start so you get a brief glimpse of how the movie got to where it is. Watch it, love it, and join the legions of Underworld fans!

Underworld: Blood Wars was a fun film if you enjoy some dark modern fantasy action. The film had some completely unnecessary sensuality in it and the beginning and end seemed rushed. The film does not do a very good job of showing that over 400 years has passed from the previous film, Awakening. Overall if you have enjoyed the Underworld series so far, this one will still be enjoyable, though it does seem like a step into another story rather than a fully contained story in itself.

Underworld: Blood Wars can be recommended for its only socially redeeming feature – Kate Beckinsale back in skin tight lycra spandex as the heroine vampire fighting against both sides in a vampire versus werewolf war. Tris Prior’s boyfriend, Four, is back to assuage the teenybopper crowd. I really liked the first couple movies in this series but it’s devolved into a loosely assembled series of CGI fights superimposed on a very shaky script. Still hard to ignore that lycra.

Sad to hear this was Kate Beckinsale's last Underworld, but she certainly went out with a bang! We enjoyed this movie from start to finish. They did a great job recapping the others so you can still follow along, but not recapping to the point where it's annoying if you just watched the others. Everyone is great. They introduce new covens and new ideas, and I hope they continue the franchise! If you liked the prior movies, you'll like this one too.

Good movie lot of action as the prior movie, one thing I did not like the movie feels it was rushed with missing links between scenes. They 4K was ok not the greatest since most of the movie was shot most in dark scenes, now the Dolby Atmos sound was great specially the raining scene in the car. Not much on the special features but the actual comic book of the movie of some other little stuff. If your collector this Steelbook is one to pick up.

It's a refreshing return to form, finally giving us a look at another two covens and interesting new splinter factions of both Vampires and Lycans. And still a healthy amount of vampire politics, as well as an abundance of creative plot-driven action scenes with both swords, guns, and claws. The series has definitely had its ups and downs, but I'm very glad to see this return and I must say, undoubtedly the best since Evolution.

My wife and I didn't see this in the theaters as we were disappointed by the previous movie 'Awakening'. But when this finally came out we decided to buy it and see. We both quite enjoyed it! The story is a bit everywhere on this one and Kate Beckinsale doesn't quite do as much action as she used to, but the overall movie is has quite a bit more action than the previous film and is just a more fun watch throughout.

I thought this was a really good movie. Better than the last but no quit as good as the first 2 in my opinion. It had the typical under world stuff with the exception that like the previous movie they could not get the original Michael and they did a poor job hiding the actors face and it was very obvious it was a stand in. Can't see where the next story could take us. Think it might be done. SPOILER ALERT: It appeared way to easy to kill Michael being as he was suppose to be the super cross breed.

OVERALL GREAT MOVIE IN SERIES WITH THE REST OF THE ANTHOLOGY. i PERSONALLY LOVE THE LORE OF UNDERWORLD, SO THIS i WOULD SAY WAS WAY BETTER THAN THE PRIOR FILM. ITS WORTH THE BUY! DONT TRUST CRITICS WHO ARE ONLY HAPPY WHEN THEY WHINE AND MOAN ABOUT MOVIES. TRUST A MOVIE PROFESSIONAL WATCHER LIKE MYSELF. i OWN OVER 10k MOVIES *(BOUGHT NEVER SCAMMED EITHER) NOT INCLUDING MY TV SERIES COLLECTION EITHER.
