Story line hard to follow as it goes back and forth. Sequels don't flow well.

Stupid and fun movie. Bought it because I like to collect steelbooks.

I like this movie series because it's silly and never takes itself too seriously...except for this particular film. It's completely moribund.

No Kate Beckinsale in tight leather makes for a boring movie. Boo hiss!

My wife and I love these movies. At first, watching the trailer, I thought that Rhona Mitra was replacing Kate Beckensale (because they look a like). Boy was I wrong! I'm not going to spoil it, but Rhona Mitra does a great job and Kate Beckensale is in the movie. This is probably one of the best trilogies I've ever seen! This one literally takes you to the opening scene of the first one. I'm not saying another word, because I'm trying not to spoil it for you. Just get it! Trust me! I highly recommend! And, if you haven't seen the first two, watch this one first, then the other two. This is the perfect prequel!

"Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" is a great prequel to the first two "Underworld" movies. It was really remarkable to see how this story ties well into the previous two. All of the films in this series has to be one of the best movies about vampires and werewolves/lycans. "Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" also has great action and everything else like the background, cinematography, and effects looks great. Overall, this movie is amazing and entertaining. I highly recommend that you pick a copy up.

My favorite anti hero ever is Lucient in the first Underworld. A tragic hero who came to terms regarding his slavery but is awakened by unholy union with a vampire. I thought it was a great film and I was hoping to see Lucient in his own movie. Action packed and you got to see answers from questions from the original two films. This was probably the best of the three to me. I hope they make one more prequel movie with Lucient, when he finally makes the pact and goes into hiding.

This is a very good movie, I enjoyed every second of it. I recommend to watch the first Underworld movies to understand and enjoy this prequel. Underworld is basically about a war between vampires and lycans (wherewolfs), who live hidden within us. Underworld: Rise of the Lyans explains why the war began between these two groups. I'ts a movie filled with suspense, alot of action, and a Romeo and Juliet kind of romance.

Great story, love Luciens' character, always had alot of questions from just watching Underworld, and Underworld Evolution but it finally explains the whole story, I too would love Lucien to have his own sequel, great special effects, anyone who loved the first two would treasure this one. Hope theres' more to come!!! Big Fan!!!!

intresting movie lacks in lots of places the plot was lame i enjoyed but still was poorly put together poorly promoted and the storyline and the script was poorly written this movie is in the same league as jaws the revenge and high school musical 1 2 and 3

what a great story...I have to admit that the writers of this movies are really imaginative... I am so pleased and amazed!!! me and my husband LOVE ALL THE UNDERWORLD movie... thanks to my sister in law for my husband's birthday (my idea tho!!!)

A prequel to Underworld that explains the ongoing war between the Lycans and Vampires. Awesome story line and good acting. Glad I watched this before getting Underworld and Revolutions. One of my favorite trilogies.

Finally being a HUGE fan of the first two installments, there is something on film to let me know it all began instead of a few flashback in the first 2 films. One of my favorite sequels of all time. Watch this!

I really wanted to see this movie and it was pretty good. The beginning was a little slow but action scenes were good as was the overall plot. Not the best movie I've ever seen, but was equal to the first Underworld.
