This movie had nothing particulat, just a western without acting skills.

If digital copies are important to you, don't buy this movie. A digital code was not provided. Afterwards I contacted Warner Brothers customer service through Movies anywhere and WB customer service would not provide me a digital copy code.

The movie was really slow. The plot was not really believable.

Story concept was good, but it was vividly violent.

This is absolutely a beautiful movie. For those who like westerns, you will love this one. For those who don't like westerns.. this will make you like them. Clint Eastwood and Gene Hackman are at their best. When movies such as 3:10 to Yuma are dubbed "the best western since Unforgiven" you know Unforgiven has to be good. I've seen this movie on dvd and was a little skeptical about buying it on blu ray considering its age but wow.. it's just as dazzling as any other blu ray movie I have. It looks like the movie just came out. I strongly recommend this movie just in itself and on blu ray.

This is easily one of the best westerns ever made. It contains all of the rich themes and tensions of traditional westerns. Of course the plot is fairly standard, but the screenplay is smart and their is not a dishonest moment in any of the performances. As with any good western the cinematography is excellent- use of colors, panaramas, framing are all great. Be warned: it is a movie about characters, not action and contains heavy themes about justice, violence, and guns. It also has something to say about alcohol use/abuse and, oh yeah, forgiveness. The duality of the main character may be a little too much for some, but for me it makes a great character. If you buy only one western to own- this would be a good choice.

Love this movie, but digital copy was not included. Checked several locations. The sku# for the digital copy version and non digital copy version is the same.

I will admit that I am not a big western fan, but I do love this movie. The main reason I know about this movie is because I watched it with my dad when I was growing up. I remember how I didn't like most westerns, but this one really had my attention. The characters are pretty classic. Clint Eastwood did an awesome job of playing a guy trying to correct his old wicked ways. The blu-ray really brings out all the colors of the scenes beautifully.

Western movies were all the rage from the 30's to 70s and then in the 80s the genre died. Some say BTTF 3 brought it back but I dare to say Unforgiven was the true closing to the old western movie era rather than a rebirth; despite being like a decade later after the 70s. They do not make movies like this anymore.

Well worth seeing and those unsure about westerns should give this movie a shot. Very beautiful North American landscapes. A Heads up to consumers: Below average sound. There is only dolby digital 5.1 as this is a release from 2006.

This movie featured a tremendous cast: Clint Eastwood, Gene Hackman, Morgan Freeman and Richard Harris. Winner of 4 Academy Awards and telling a great story of a man trying to escape his criminal past but it catches up with him in the worst way.

Excellent movie. Turn off your phones, lock the doors and make sure to have no distractions when watching this action packed story themed western. If you don't like westerns, you will after viewing this one.

We had originally ordered this on Black Friday but it was lost in the mail. Once we finally picked up a copy and watched it, we were amazed what a great transfer and soundtrack upgrade this received!

Best western movie with lots of iconic actors in it.

This film is extremely gritty and engaging, Clint is at his best and does some phenomenal directing and acting. Hackman also was a very good, very slimy villain. 5/5

Flawless performances , storyline, cinematography. A must see and addiiton to the collection

this is my all time favorite western. and just a great movie in general.
