I loved this movie when I first saw in the theater. Today, it looks amazing on blu-ray, and I love the story just as much. The plot may be slow for some and it may not be gripping enough. However, it's definitely worth a rental.

The film looks great, but the story is rather predictable. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, man is dead but his creations -- these living dolls -- have inherited the planet. The question is, "Do they have a soul?"

Not a whole lot on plot overall. But the characters and animation are a great joy. Made for adults and not really for kids based on the dark subject and situations.

I didn't think I would enjoy this movie at first but I decided to buy it because I enjoy Tim Burton's movies. I think it was a good movie full of enjoyable experiences

i have this on dvd but since the BD price went down, i got it on BD. yesss! this kind of animation is way better on BD.

Not sure why most people didn't like this movie. It didn't seem to get enough credit. The storyline was great and the suspense was amazing!

This movie moves a bit slowly, but it's got great bass if your system can reproduce it. Great FX in the Tom Burton tradition.

It is very entertaining. Although the computer graphics are starting to look a little outdated. Very fun, though.

If you like Tim Burton then this is a great movie..

The plot is one of the best and worst things of the movie, you have little time to catch on what is going on and in the end you will leave thinking what really happened. I liked the movie, but it is not for everyone, 9 is an animated film by newcomer director by Shane Acker, but just because it's animated doesn't mean it's kid friendly. Some discretion is advised, specially for the youngest kids. The film in the end has excellent picture and makes you think a lot, good sound, specially if you see it on a home theater.

I bought this movie for my kids (5th-7th graders). They really enjoyed it. They thought the story was good and really enjoyed the Tim Burton characters.
