Finally, after years of waiting, Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (The Director's Cut) is now available on Blu-Ray. You can now watch both the original 1982 or the Director's Cut of your choice. Star Trek II: The Wrath Of Khan is one of the best Star Trek movies.

I don't usually bother to upgrade to blu ray once I have a DVD but this movie is the excpetion. Great way to experience the movie in both formats Director's cut ( the best) and the theatrical version both of which are included on this disc. .Best Trek movie ever.

While only a few minutes longer in run time, the added scenes add more information which make certain aspects of the movie make more sense. The only bad thing with this is the cover. The original complete blu-ray release should have included this edition.

Such a great movie! My wife is a bit younger than me, she is a fan of the new films but she had never seen this. She quite enjoyed it and I think it looks fantastic, especially since I grew up watching this on VHS on a standard def TV!

Apart from it's looking better than the original Blu-ray disc -- a bit sharper, better color -- this new transfer contains some footage deleted from the original theatrical release that expands on the relationship between Scotty and the doomed young crewman, Peter Prescott. As for the film, itself, it remains, with its thoughtfulness and humanity, head and shoulders, the best "Star Trek" feature film.

This movie is a masterpiece across the board. William Shatner (Captain Kirk) without a doubt enjoyed his finest hour, showcasing his ability to display fear, despair, frustration, and finally hope. All of the cast are elevated with a wonderful script as well. The cinematography and soundtrack are magnificently woven. A master-class performance movie and the 2nd best Star Trek movie after "A Journey Home", in MHO..

The Director's Cut is the way to go! Extra footage adds to this great classic! FYI make sure your copy has a YELLOW bar code on the back of the cover! This is the correct version of the film. The first batch had a bad transfer!

This film is unique in that you don't need to watch the show to enjoy it. sure it makes it more fun, and the first half will mean something to you but the ending still packs an emotional punch. The steelbook is great as well.

A wonderful addition to my collection. The director cut adds some nice scenes that made an already great movie even better. Long Live Captain Kirk!!!

I hadn't seen this movie in years and when I watched it again I enjoyed it so much I found myself sitting there with a grin on my face the entire time. Any Star Trek or sci-fi fan should have this movie in their collection.

This is a classic and I always go back to watch this every few years. It's really well done and the story is great. You can't go wrong with this.

This has both the theatrical and directors cut on one bluray. And it includes lots of extra features too.

This is the best Star Trek movie ever, with all the Star Trek cast from the 60s, with the late great actor, Ricardo Montalban who plays Khan. A must see Star Trek movie for all the Star Trek fan!

I thought this 'directors cut' thing was just another way of making another fast buck off the avid collector. My system says they major re-mastered the original Blu-ray. I don't think you'll feel shorted.

You are probably only interested in this if you are already a fan of this movie. (If you haven't seen it, it's good sci-fi.) I previously owned the Director's Cut on DVD, so it's the same cut I'm familiar with. They went in and changed the coloring from the DVD and the regular Blu-ray and it looks great. The sound is the biggest difference for me. Really nice.

The added footage to Star Trek 2 is very subtle and done well. I can't really say that it adds to the story, but certainly doesn't take away from the film. Some scenes are blurry, but overall not bad. Audio is ok, but not spectacular. There's a rumored 4k release that may be worth a wait, but for the price, this version of the film is worth the purchase.

Many say this is the best of the TOS films.... It is certainly up there and an enjoyable watch. Certainly slower paced that todays sci-fi battle movies but that fine is that is not what Star Trek is all about.

I've been waiting for a long time for the directors cut of Wrath of Khan to make it onto Blu-ray. It's finally here and it was well worth picking up.

The best Trek movie far supercedes its predecessor in just about every way. Plenty of action here along with the heroic sacrifice of a beloved character at the film's climax. This one belongs in every Trek fan's collection.

Probably he best Star Trek movie ever glad the director cut is on blu ray now if only they could put the other movies directors cuts on Blu-ray
