This is an interesting device. I’ve had poor posture my entire life. I tend to lean forward while standing and walking and slouch in my seat while sitting. I was looking for a way to help me correct the slouch. I was skeptical about how effective a small reminder vibration would be but this really does help. The Upright Go ships with a carrying case with a notch that allows the device to be charged inside the case. The Go can also be charged outside the case if desired. The Go sticks to the back of the wearer with reusable double-sided adhesive. One adhesive strip typically lasts me several days under normal circumstances and doesn’t irritate my skin. I make sure to save the covers for the adhesive strips and re-apply them each evening to prevent the strips from drying out and losing their adhesiveness. Several adhesives and alcohol prep pads were included. I make sure my skin is dry to ensure the Go stays on all day. OI have not had any problems with the Go falling off during wear. The fall weather has been pretty mild the past couple weeks and getting progressively getting cooler. I’m sure that’s why I haven’t had any problems with the Go detaching and falling off. I’m curious to see how well the adhesive performs in the hot and humid conditions of summer. The user guide instructs placing the device somewhere you can easily reach it. The Go can be applied by the user but I find it easier to enlist the help of my wife for application. Not only does this assure the Go is applied perfectly straight in the center of the back away and from shoulders but also helps prevent drops. I’ve already dropped my Go once while removing it alone. Thankfully it was on carpet, but care should be used in bathrooms or other hard floor areas. The Go has two modes: training and tracking. The training mode is where I get vibrations whenever I slouch. The tracking mode doesn’t vibrate but tracks the time spent slouching and maintaining proper posture throughout the day. Each time I apply the Go I have to re-calibrate my proper posture. The training mode has three settings: stationary, standing and active. I mostly use stationary at work because it’s the strictest as far as alerts and really helps with correcting my seated posture. The standard mode is a little more forgiving and accounts for the fact that I’ll be moving more and alternating between standing and seated. The active mode is most forgiving and for situations where the wearer will be very active (not workout active, just a lot of movement and possibly bending). I typically use active mode when I’m getting dressed in the mornings or in situations where I’ll do a lot of bending or stretching. The vibrations can be adjusted in intensity and pattern. I’m boring, so I typically use the default settings for everything unless they’re ineffective or bothersome. The default settings on the Go work fine for me. I feel the vibrations and the default vibration pattern is more than sufficient. The sensor is very accurate and detects even the slightest slouching if I calibrate my upright posture properly. Although the vibrations do a good job of helping me maintain proper posture during training mode, I also find myself frequently checking the app for deficiencies in my posture. I’m finding myself becoming more cognizant of times when I slouch or sit with poor posture. I like the presentation of the app and the ways it tries to incentivize training. I was even offered a significant discount on adhesive refills based on my training. Battery life is fantastic. I haven’t yet had the battery fully deplete on me yet. I recharge the Go each evening and easily get an entire day of wear. The app and Go device work together perfectly. The Go even receives occasional firmware upgrades through the app. The latest upgrade adjusted the LED on the Go so it’s not noticeable underneath clothing. The LED hasn’t been a problem for me and I haven’t even noticed it because I always wear the Go underneath at least two layers of clothing (shirt and undershirt). It may have been more noticeable or had it pointed out if I wore thinner clothing or only one layer. I’m very pleased with the Upright Go 2 so far. The purpose of this device is to make me more aware of my posture so I can self-correct. The gentle vibrations work great and really help with making me take notice of just how much I slouch. I don’t know how long I’ll ultimately have to wear it but I’m already noticing a difference. I don’t have any medical reasons behind my slouching, so I’m highly optimistic that this device just may improve my posture once and for all.

Less back pain and better posture

I've been using the Upright Go 2 for a few days now and I'm both surprised and impressed. I am pretty sure I will use this for a few months as I've started learning that I have bad posture habits (oops) and already have noticed less lower-back pain (great!). What you need to know... The Upright Go is about half the size of an iPod case (see the picture). It actually sticks to your back. Like STICKS. If you have ever had an ECG or equivalent it kind of attaches like that with some gel-like glue. This may seem weird but it works. I was VERY skeptical but 1. you don't notice it on your back, even changings shirts at the gym and I forgot it was there and it stayed safe and 2. both gym and hot weather sweat didn't cause it to fall off. In case you're wondering there is also no pain when you remove it - it comes off when you want it too and not before. Other things you need to know about the Upright Go. It charges by USB C and comes with a USB C cable. It also comes with a small case for storing. The storage case is important because it means you can re-use an adhesive over several days and still charge the unit. The mandatory companion app is user-friendly and useful. In the app you set your posture and whether you want your Upright to be training or tracking. Training means you the Upright vibrates if your posture is out, tracking means it tracks and can alert you on your phone. If you're wondering about the vibration, you can feel it but in my office tests no one noticed I was buzzing under my jacket (ha!). A helpful tip though, do not set up training until you're ready for the day. What I found is in the morning if I was still getting read (shoes, putting things in and out of closets, etc) I receive a few training buzzes because yes, my posture was out, but it was because I was bending down tying shoe laces. Other than that, there are no false alarms. Other things you need to know is you will need to buy adhesive packs to continue to stick this to your body. It comes with about a months supply (each adhesive can last 2-3 days). Sticker packs cost $6.99 and if you hit an early milestone you will be rewarded with an offer for a 99c pack. Oh... reminds me, the app has in-app chat support which is super fast and responsive.... seriously impressed. As a final though, I plan to also test this out on my teenager this weekend. I have a lot of conversations with him about his posture. I think he may be surprised how much my complaints of "stand up straight" are well founded.

I have been testing this out for several days and have been amazed at how bad my posture is. The product is so simple that I am honestly shocked that this is the first time I have ever seen something of the like. The item is about the size of an adult thumb. I was most concerned about how it sticks to the body (what type of adhesive) because I have fairly sensitive skin. To this date I have not even so much as had a red mark after use. The reusable pad sticks firmly on my back and provided that I do not do anything strenuous, then the device will stay attached as long as I like. I do not know what it is made of but one pad with mild cleaning technics has lasted going on a week. Mine came with extras and when you download the app you can actually easily order more, and they are cheap (always a plus). The device charges using a USB-C and the bonus is that a USB-C cable is included. Sitting at my deck during the day, I tend to slouch when I am deep in thought and typing. The app teaches through Pavlovian buzzes to remind you to sit-up straight. While walking and whatever I personally stand straight with my shoulders back. However, I Slouch hardcore when I am playing video games and I play hours upon hours of video games (don’t judge). This Upright should be sold in conjunction with every gaming console out there. In the short time of using I feel that it is already helping me correct my posture and thusly my overall health. I can't say enough nice things about this product and don't think you will go wrong using it (but you do actually have to use it daily to gain the benefits :^) After a couple of weeks, I plan to use to move the device up to my neck to stop "Cell Phone Neck"

So what's in the box. The unit of course, a USB-C charging cable, user's manual, alcohol wipes, and 10 adhesive stickers. The stickers state they are reusable from 3-10 times depending on the user's skin. The box doesn't contain a 110 charging adapter, but I like most people have a bunch of them. I didn't even open the USB-C cable as I have an adapter and cable sitting on the counter for my original Google Pixel. It took about 3 hours to charge the unit. As it charged, I opened the manual and used my phones QR reader to scan the code on the first page of the user's manual. They have an app for iOs and Android. I have the Pixel...so it's the Android app for me. It was very easy to install. The app allowed me to create an account simply by entering a few items such as name and email address. After charging the unit and installing the app, I restarted the app and completed step by step the instructions to pair the unit and attach it to my upper back. I used a wipe to clean the area in hopes that the adhesive strip would stick and be reusable. The strips are probably the weak point of the system. Having to purchase additional items is always a bummer, at least for me. That said, the unit stuck just fine to my back and then I used the app to set my posture. It took a few tries to get it, but once I did, it won't be a problem in the future. You can set it for sitting most of the time, standing or walking. I have it set for sitting and I'm here at the keyboard. If I sit against the backrest or away from it and straight up, I'm good. I can tilt my head all the way forward with little change on the app, but it's noticeable. If I bend at the chest or lean forward a bit, it goes past the red warning and the units vibrates. You can set the warning length with 5 different settings. Short, medium, long, knock knock, and rampup. The strength is also adjustable. Gentle out of the box and there's medium and strong. As I sit here and type, the unit has only registered when I turn my head and bend to look at the app. If I stare at the monitor, I can see that my head is a bit forward, but not enough to buzz me. It's about 1 and the red warning is at 2. I have to make a bit of effort to set off the warning. I imagine if I were doing something other than reviewing the app, it would go off more often as I slouched or leaned in to concentrate on a task. As a person with some disabilities, this will hopefully help me learn to keep my head in a better position. That would help with headaches, neck strain and tight muscles. I'm hopeful and believe that getting constant reminders to sit up/straighten up will ease some bodyaches. Back to the adhesive pads. There is a link in the settings that you can use to purchase more. They have 10 pcs also and they run $6.95 with free US shipping. Seems a bit high to me and that's why I don't like items that require constant purchasing of supplies. It would be the one reason I wouldn't recommend this to a friend. I do recommend the unit, but I would definitely include to mention that they would need to make future purchases and to find other sources for materials because all technology has a end of life and someday, this unit will too. Overall for my needs, this should be a wonderful tool to help me have better days.

Be careful, iOS users..I was using Upright Go 1st version, and thought Go 2 will bring improvements. Totally wrong. The one BestBuy sent me was already opened-box, I thought it's okay.. Then, I downloaded its latest iOS app, after it's animated tutorial in the begining, the app cannot continue.. Worst is, before installing this new version of iOS app, I deleted the original "Upright Go 1" app that worked fine.. Now I'm stuck with Go 1 and 2, without being able to use them.

The Upright Go 2 posture correction trainer is a very simple idea, and is a great balance that leverages technology to sort of help you correct yourself on the spot when prompted. Given this fact, my wife and I decided to get his device to help her with some posture issues she developed due to an injury. As I am typing now, my wife is using the device and I am going to write about my observations to date. Out of the box, the device is surprisingly slim. Under a shirt it is not really visible unless you are looking for it. It has a storage container in which you can store extra stickers. The stickers are used to attach the device to you back, and feel similar to medical tape used for bandages. It also comes with a charging cable, additional silicone stickers, alcohol cleaning patches, and an instruction booklet. The device is simple and is built so it is ergonomic and conforms to the raised area of your spine. It apparently has multiple sensors and again it is not extremely noticeable when you are using it. The only time you can really see it is if my wife wears something smaller than a t-shirt. Specifically, if she wears workout gear like a tank top or or something that is open or hangs lower in the back. When she is wearing something like that you can see it as it is placed pretty high up on the back. So the idea behind this is, when your posture goes forward too far you get a gentle vibration to notify you to correct yourself. That is it, just that simple. The cool part is that it integrates with the app on your phone, and I realized recently that you can use it and get notifications through your Apple Watch. That is super awesome. Since my wife sets here watch to silent (Vibration only) it gives her a double vibration (back and wrist) which is increasingly effective. So, in order for this to work, you have to have a certain level of dedication to achieve your goal. This will help you get there, and I feel it is an effective helper and tool. We have not tried it during exercise, when you sweat a lot. I feel that would be a great test of the silicone adhesive. Maybe someone else can comment on the effectiveness of that aspect of its use. All in all, the idea of this product is really cool. To build upon that, the function is equal to the idea of it. In other words, this is a great product in form and function. I highly recommend this to anyone that has the dedication to actually make the change in their posture. I don’t now how long it will take you to get to your goal, but I legitimately think this would be a great help.
