interesting Device
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted the UPRIGHT GO 2 to help me improve my posture, since I do a lot of sitting in front of computers. I once tried a yoga strap for that purpose, but it tends to slip out of positioning throughout the day, and looks funny if you wear it over your clothes. The GO is easy to put on, and is very inobtrusive under your clothes. I’ve only been using it for a few days, but I think it does help improve posture. I put the app on my android phone. It has a “training” mode and a “tracking” mode. The first step is to calibrate it to your correct posture. In training mode (which is a very short period of only 5 minutes in the beginning), you will get slight buzzes when you move out of correct posture. In tracking mode, you can see a little avatar on your phone screen, which shows your posture (but it does NOT buzz) in tracking mode. The app will show you how long you are “slouched” during your tracking period. If you’re up and around doing things around the house, of course, you may be “slouching” a lot as you move around. But if you’re working at your desk looking at a computer screen, you can check the app on your phone. Overall, I think this will help me improve, but I wish there were a way to turn on buzzing during tracking mode, as a reminder to keep good posture without having to look at my phone.

Perfect Posture Prompter!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was always a sloucher, both while sitting and standing. This posture corrector is changing that. Vibrations are sent as reminders when I slouch. The device is small and unobtrusive. The packaging also includes a nonstick case and adhesive pads. Use the app to walk you through set up on your iOS or Android device - which is simple. After your Bluetooth device and app are connected stick the Upright Go 2 to the upper center of your back and calibrate it (very simple). It has two modes Training and Tracking. In Training Mode, it vibrates when you slouch. In Tracking Mode it only tracks your posture status - no vibrations. It has a variety of settings to accommodate virtually any preference in alert style. It is quiet. You set up a personalized training program aimed at improving your posture over two weeks. It Works!!

Expected Quality
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I have been satisfied with the posture trainer since starting to use it about a week ago. There are 2 reasons why I enjoy this trainer. First and foremost the app is pretty awesome it provides me stats and progress to the n'th degree, and since I'm a numbers guy this really hit home with me. I can visually see when i slouch the most and when I am doing a pretty "good job". The second reason why I enjoy this trainer is because of the design, I've had friends who have used similar devices and have noted that the vibrations are either way to strong or way too weak. I think this trainer does a great job ad judging how to remind me i am not standing my straightest. Straight forward app design and functionality paired with the outstanding physical design is why I highly recommend this trainer compared to its competition.

Wouldn’t purchase

Posture pest
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This little device will constantly remind you of your poor posture when in training mode by vibrating when it detects you are hunched over. For those of us that think we have perfect posture there is a tracking mode that will not vibrate when you’re hunched, only track your posture so that you can see how much you hunched during the day. Some don’t like the tracking mode since the device won’t remind you but do you really want a device version beating on your back if you are wearing this in a meeting? The constant reminders have helped my posture and the adhesive did not cause any issues when in contact with my skin.

Simple but effective
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I first read & heard about this posture trainer I thought it did something more than simply vibrate on your back. However, despite its simplicity it turns out to be remarkable effective. Everything centers around the app, which you train what "upright" means for you, and adjust how sensitive you want it to be to your "hunching over". If you want a bit of give you can get it, if you want it to be real strict it'll do that to. When you exceed the threshold you've set for yourself, the device simply vibrates once/second until you're back upright. I was skeptical about the adhesive for my skin but have been pleasantly surprised. No reactions, and it actually stuck on me not only while I was sitting at my desk, but I completely forgot it was on and hopped in my car to run around town and do errands, all the while being reminded if I started to slouch (like while driving)! If you're super concerned about your posture, give it a try. Worth noting that it comes with quite a few adhesive strips and I've worn mine a handful of times and it's still sticky. Additional packs are $7 per their website.

Fine products with some quirks.
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fine device which works with a phone app. User put on the device and it connects with the app and you stand vertical and set your straight position. Later if you tilt more than a certain degree the device will vibrate. In my testing it does not cover all the scenarios, if you are not used to of sitting straight and lean forward this will do the job. It did not work for me when I was on the couch lying on side, I knew my back was not straight but it did not vibrate. That makes me believe that it only checks difference in angle vertically. The pads are fine, though I do not think each one will last more than 10 times. It comes with 10 stickers in the pack and this is going to be a recurring cost. I will recommend it if you slouch and want something which can act as a quick reminder, it may not solve other issues but nor does it claim to be.

Great Posture Trainer
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I work in an office job and unfortunately spend more time than I'd like sitting in meetings and behind a desk. Over the last nine months, my lower back started to ache (not terribly, but enough to be uncomfortable), and I thought maybe this could help. The device comes in a case that is easy to carry around. It would have been great if the case could have held the USB charging cable too, as opposed to just the device, but that is a small complaint. The device is only maybe 2 in tall and comes with an adhesive that allows you to stick the device to your back. Download the app, turn it on, pair it with your phone, and you are all set. I've used it for a few days now and like the fact that it is simple to calibrate. Sit in an upright position and calibrate it. From there, it will sense when you start to slouch and vibrate if you have it on training mode. Use tracking mode for allow it to track / report your position through the rest of the day. The app gives you feedback on how you are doing. It seems to work pretty well. My posture seems better (or at least I'm more aware of when I am slouching, and can correct it quicker). Hopefully this will help alleviate some of my back pain over time. I would definitely recommend it for someone that is in an office job like me that feels like they could have better posture and avoid slouching.

More Impressive Conceptually Than In Practice
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Upright - GO 2™ Posture Trainer is a device and application system designed to work in two modes to help you improve your posture. The device is a small plastic module that adheres to your back - it sends data to the accompanying application. It simply identifies how much you tilt (in other words - how much you vary from being perpendicular to the ground). In its training mode it is a haptic feedback system that can alert you (through vibrations) when you stray from being upright. You can adjust the sensitivity to prevent it from misreading brief bends and sways (you'd be surprised by how many of those you do in a day). But it obviously can't really understand other simple things like leaning back in a chair or crawling around on the floor and looking for something you dropped. It's second mode is a tracking mode that continues to monitor your variations from vertical and will summarize that data for you whenever you open the application for review. There is no longer the physical feedback in this mode. I'm not too sure about how using the tracking mode is helpful. For me, it is the immediate haptic feedback that provides ongoing corrective training - it's sort of like your back gets a text message notification every time you slouch - you have to ignore it if you are tying your shoes (or whatever) but having the awareness of your bad posture when you're (say) sitting at your computer is amazing. Other notes: it charges through a USB-C port and maintains a charge long enough to wear the device through a good portion of the day (this isn't a 24 hour device), it's not designed to be used for more than a couple months (beyond that you will need to order additional adhesive strips), and it doesn't really work well with sweat so don't wear it to the gym. In practice, I guess my posture is pretty good but is peppered with bad habits and I have developed a greater consciousness of when I'm about to tilt (slouch). It would certainly be a better device for a person with atrocious posture than it would be for someone, like me, who is less plagued with bad habits.

Get Noticeable Results Fast
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been using this for about a week and I have already noticed a difference in my posture. The instant and constant feed back is really helpful. Unlike a brace that just forces you to have better posture, the GO 2 teaches you how to have better posture and helps you to develop good habits that lead to better posture. I'm hoping that this will mean that after enough time, I will continue to have good posture, even if I'm not wearing it. The only issue is that due to my lack of flexibility, getting it on in the right place can be a little hard. My wife had to help me get it on right most of the time.

Will take some time, but will be worth it
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So, it seems a little odd to put a white pill shaped device on your back... once you have it on... it is a good thing to be there. So only a few days into using this, and I know it is going make some differences. I am a desk jockey and spend the vast majority of my day at a desk. My desk is not the most optimal positioned as well. So with this little device, I mentally am making sure that I am taking the time to be up straight, which I can feel in my lower back and shoulders. The device then takes over and yells at me to do it as well. So the app is pretty easy to use, and straight forward. it walks you through the easy setup, and gets you going with in a few minutes. and you can do your first training session at the same time. Then as we go in the tracking mode, that is where I think most people will get the benefits. For me personally, the actual vibration of the device, I can barely feel. But what is nice, is it notifies me through my Apple Watch, which is great. So almost like Apple reminding you to stand up, this device reminds you to sit-up, and is a nice addition. I haven't yet been able to kill the battery, but I put it on the charger each night. Pro's: small, lightweight... and adds to the health features of my iPhone/Watch space. Con's: vibration on the device is sott for me, if it wasn't for the watch integration/notificaiton, I may miss most of notifications. One big thing I would like to see in a future version... While the USB-C charging is nice, this should really take advantage of Wireless charging... be it with the case, or just directly on a wireless charger... this would make it sooo much easier, just to drop on the charger at the end of the day, and pick it up the next morning

Works as advertised - if you keep it up!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had used my Upright for a week as soon as I got it, as i was anxious and have always been a sloucher. For that week, as I got into work, i put it on when it reminded me around 10AM, and kept it on for a few hours. After taking it off, I noticed myself naturally standing up straighter - meaning it was working! You also get emails congratulating you on your completion of trainings, which include discounts for replacement sticky pads. Then the problem - I got sick, I wasn't going to work, and I didn't have my upright go on me (as I left it at work). Then the daily reminders and emails about using it - got to be a bit annoying. Upon returning to work, my battery had died, and although it comes with everything you need in the little carrying case (device and extra pads) - the charge cable doesn't fit in it the case, and I don't have many USB C cables, so then it went a couple of more days before getting to recharge it again. Now being back on, it now feels weird to keep using it - as in it feels more like a chore than it did when I first started. In other words, if you start it, don't stop! Make sure you have the cable handy wherever it is you keep your device! I will still continue to use it, and I'm sure after a few days I'll get back to naturally standing up straight, which is exactly what I want and need.

This thing is great...
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First and foremost this is super easy to use and set up. I got mine opened up the box, plugged it in, while it was in the protective case. I then unplugged it after a few hours, and it was ready to go. I took me a few minutes to make an account on my phone, and it was ready to go. It already had one adhesive on it, I pulled off the tabs, placed it on my back and the thing began to nag right aways (Vibrated every time I slouched). The training program is pretty neat, the fact that I can have it track me is nice as well. Overall this is a great product and I'm glad I got a chance to review it, we will probably buy another one for my wife so we can keep a decent posture. You can have this item on training mode, where it vibrates every time you begin to slouch, or track mode, where after so many minutes it will vibrate if you're slouch (Consistently slouching).

Surprisingly polished experience
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Like most sedentary white-collar workers, my posture is abominable. I have back issues, neck issues, and shoulder issues because of it, and yet whenever I set about to try and fix the problem I find it's all too easy to slide (or rather slump) back into old habits. The Go 2 from Upright seeks to fix this problem in the way that most smart devices do - through buzzing notifications you can't help but take note of. I'll admit, I was on the fence about the concept when I first heard about it. I imagined any number of ways that the little thing could turn out to be inadequate or poorly designed. It was only after I'd gotten used to using it that I realized the one thing I'd never really expected was for it to be really, really well designed. The initial startup is pretty simple. Once you've downloaded the app and connected the device, you're asked to create an account and enter a few pertinent details regarding your height, weight, gender, and the sort of issues you're seeking to resolve. Once you've done this, it feeds it into an algorithm and pops out a (supposedly customized) plan for improving your posture. For me, it recommended a 23 day program where each day I'd do a little more training. I'm only four days in at this point, but already my dance instructor roommate has commented on the fact that I do seem to be standing up a bit more straight than usual. We'll have to see if this sticks once the training regimen is over, but I'm hopeful. As far as the overall user experience goes, both the app and the device receive top marks. The device attaches between your shoulders with an adhesive pad (there's a fairly generous supply of them included with the device.) Once you've put it on, you will be asked to stand up straight and indicate on the app that you're doing so to allow the sensor to figure out what correct posture looks like on you. From there it's surprisingly accurate at figuring out when the top half of your back is straight, though there are definitely still a few unhealthy poses you can do with your lower back that will trick it into thinking you're sitting properly. When I was first trying the device on I figured this would be a weak point of the system, but I'm pleased to say I was completely wrong on that. The adhesives are very effective, easily lasting an entire day and then some without moving. They never irritated my skin, nor is the device itself that uncomfortable. I generally completely forgot about it a few minutes after putting it on. Indeed, that actually got me into trouble a couple of times when I left the house intended to wear it, only to realize that I'd left it on the end table charging! Also, as a side note, the sensor gets bonus points for using USB-C for charging. From that point, using the device is more or less invisible. The sensor doesn't actually buzz you all that often. It's pretty much always active during the few minutes a day it wants you to train, but after that it'll try to switch to a tracking mode which simply monitors how well you do throughout the day. It will still buzz you if it detects a prolonged period of bad posture, but after a couple days I found those reminders became increasingly rare (another reason for me to suspect it's actually having the intended effect and training me to sit up a little straighter.) The software allows for a tremendous degree of customization if you find you want something a little different than its recommended training as well. You can change the intensity, duration, and pattern of vibrations, how long it should let you slouch before warning you, and how far off center is acceptable. I found this to be both a blessing and a curse. It's generally always great to have options, but I have to admit it was a little too easy at times to think of rationalizations for turning down the sensitivity a little in the name of comfort. I'm currently still of the opinion that this is a good thing, but we'll have to see how strong I stay once I've graduated to half an hour of training a day. It's definitely not a miracle fix, and it's no substitute for proper medical care for people with really severe back issues. But for an average keyboard jockey like myself, this is a fantastic gadget that I'd gladly recommend to anyone looking for a reminder to improve their posture.

Best I've Tried
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have tried a few products like this, but this one is by far the best I've tried. I was very skeptical going in because this thing is supposed to stick to your skin and I though there was no way it would stick well enough to stay on for an extended period. Well, I was wrong. The device sticks securely to my back, and well enough to not give me any false readings, unlike other devices that attached to my clothing in the past. I really like the way the app and email communications from the people at Upright encourage and motivate you to work on your posture daily. If you're looking for a product to help you with your posture, especially if you sit at a desk all day, I highly recommend this.

Amazingly Simple
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was floored with the combination of reasonable price and value with the Upright Go 2 trainer. I am on my third day of use, and I'm expecting good results. I was most worried that it would be uncomfortable, but I barely notice it. Do keep in mind that you wouldn't sleep with this on. I made that mistake my first night, and woke myself up when I rolled on to my back. The Upright Go 2 is meant to have a 30 hour battery life, but seems to have plenty of time if you charge it every night, and put it on after you wake up and shower. Overall, this is a great tool, especially for those looking for better health, or for those who want to have a more professional appearance.

effective!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Upright- Go 2 has been an impressive device so far. First impressions were great as the packaging was great, felt higher end, and the directions and getting started packets were very informative. Many devices nowadays come with a sheet of paper saying to download an app to get started and learn more about their product, and only that. But Luckily this posture trainer came with great information that helped me know about the product before I even downloaded the app. Speaking of the app, I love it! I have not had a fitbit in quite a few months now but what I really loved about my fitbit was the app, and the Upright Go 2 app reminds me so much of the fitbit app it's crazy. The user interface is very easy and simple to navigate, and the color scheme is does the opposite of distracting you. I was also very impressed with the Upright Go 2 case, not only does it look nice but it is very functional too. I love that it is magnetized to stay shut and the precise slot to hold a spare adhesive, as well as the notch to charge it while it is being stored, they really thought of everything. As for the product itself, it is different from what I was expecting but not in a bad way! I was picturing a device one would wear all day and get reminded every time you slouched till it was corrected. This device is more about only a small portion of the day, preferably a time of day when you are indoors, clean, and dry, for me that is after a shower but before I go to bed. Based on your progress it gives you a timed goal each day to wear the device in training mode, that is the mode that actually vibrates at you until you fix your posture. When you complete the timed training mode, it informs you to switch to tracking mode, where the device just simply tracks your posture and does not vibrate. The timed training mode at least for me has only been 5, 5, and 10 minutes so far. When I saw that it thinks it can fix my posture in just 5 minutes a day, I really started to doubt the product. But here I am on day 4 and I already catch myself being more self conscious of my posture even with the device not on me. The app claims that based on my age, height, weight, back pain level, etc, it should take 25 days of training to get my posture where it should be. Again, when I saw that claim, I had my doubts, but considering the progress I already feel on day 4, I am excited to see where my posture will be after 25 days. If you are looking for a device to wear all day, this might not be the one for you as the user manual mentions several times to use it on clean, dry skin indoors, so using this during the workday is probably not an option for many people. But if you are looking for a device that can gradually train you to have better posture without having a device to worry about the entire day, I highly recommend this one.

Accurately Detects Posture, Gives Gentle Feedback
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Go 2 Posture Trainer does exactly what it is supposed to do: It sticks on my back, it detects my posture (quite accurately), and it gives me gentle vibration feedback to alert me to correct slouching. The device is about the size of a matchbook, and sticks to your back, directly on the skin, using silicone gel adhesives. You get 9 adhesives in the package, and the instructions say that each one can be used 5-10 times. UPRIGHT will sell you more on their website. Go 2 works best with a companion app that tracks your progress, both during short training sessions (with feedback) and other times (tracking only - no feedback). The app reminds you to complete a training session each day. Having data about my posture throughout the day has been really interesting, and getting reminders to sit or stand more upright during training sessions has certainly been helpful. Time will tell whether or not my posture without feedback will improve... but so far, I'm enjoying the Go 2.
