The case protects the surface book in laptop mode and when separated in tablet mode. The integrated pen holder is very convenient.

Laptop cover is light weight and attaches easily to Microsoft Surface Book. Design allows for protection in all of the key areas.

I love my case and it hugs my laptop just right. The pen holder attached to top makes the pen easily accessible to me.

This case has worked for my surface book as it fits well and is durable. I only have 2 cons. One, the external speaker output hole on the actual case is too small for many speaker jack inputs. And Two, the pen sometimes comes out of the clip, but has only happened inside of my bookbag.

The case does what it's supposed to do- it protects. It makes my surface book sit unevenly and the way the case fits, I can't push my screen all the way back. I haven't dropped the computer or anything so I don't know if the case protects against drops but it does protect the computer from bumps and slight bangs against tables, walls, etc.

The Urban Armor Gear case for the Surface Book was really the "only game in town" when I was looking for a durable case. Pros: drop protection, and you can remove the screen from the keyboard without removing the case. Cons: adds some bulk, headphone jack opening accommodates new narrow headphone plugs but not older ones with thicker cord ends. The hinge part doesn't fold as cleanly as you might expect. I'm really looking for drop protection, which mostly involves the corners and edges, so I feel there's a bit more bulk here than I need, but it does the job and is the only thing I could find that really does. In my experience, there's really no need to have every square inch covered, or to have the case encroach so closely on plugs and jacks (unless you're more worried about spills, etc., but the keyboard is the biggest entry point anyway). So the case could be sleeker, maybe in their next version, but overall I'm satisfied and happy with the case.

This case has saved me more than once. It protects the entire thing. The only downside is the funky hinge on the back.

This product does great at protecting my computers. It was a little hard to install but it does what it's suppose to.

The case is snug and fits well. Easy to open and secure when closed. Performs as I expected it should.

Headphone jack not easy to plug-in after case is installed otherwise good.

Follow the direction and it fits great. Pen holder holds pen tight. And feels a lot sturdier now.

The case is clear so it goes great with anything. It was easy to install and is very convenient. Luckily, I have not dropped my book...so I can't speak on protection.

Purchased the case to help protect my husband's new Surface. He d haven't had to test its durability yet, but honestly, we don't want to get to that point!

This is the 2nd one bought for the Surface Books we bought. It provides peace of mind because you know after you spent +$2000 that it is protected in some way. Love that there is a clip that holds the stylus pen rather than just relying on the magnet to hold the pen without losing it. This clip is helpful because my son uses his Surface daily in college and he hasn't lost his stylus pen yet.

The case fits great and protects well. The case also adds more functionality.

Provides protection at a minimal level to make me feel okay about carrying my Surface. Hinge component interferes with docking component of keyboard big time.

There are not many options for the Surface book. But this offers some pretty good protection. It also adds some weight and bulk. Its manageable though. I'd like a case a little smaller. But with limited choices....
