Came with one short and one long USB to Apple's 3rd gen ipod. Either will work to charge or connect.

Actually used this as a cable for a pass thru for a download from a audio server to laptop.

Was glad to find that there were two options for charging included in the package (long and short).

Good cable. Just make sure you have the right sync cord for your generation shuffle. This one is only good for 3rd generation.
