This movie was not a bad watch. They couldve done more things to make it better but still an ok watch

Sci-Fi movie that has a romantic influence. There is a moral justice theme that drives the plot. Who are we as individuals? The choices we make determine our moral compass. The leads do a great job. The supporting cast play a major role in the development of the story.

Beautiful visual to capture the views attention from start to finish. Perfect viewing for sci-fi film lovers

The Ultra HD rides into danger with a great-looking if also a tad underwhelming 4K HDR10 presentation that isn't much better than its Blu-ray counterpart. However, the video improves dramatically in Dolby Vision, offering significantly better dynamic range and a picture that pops with a vivid, wider array of colors that electrify the screen. The same excellent Dolby Atmos soundtrack tags along for the ride to keep things entertaining. With the same set of supplements, the overall package is recommended for Besson fans, but the curious will want to give it a rent first behind deciding on a purchase.

The movie had lots of hype before it came out, shouldn't have, they oversold it as these great 'effects' and stuff, were they great, yes, but I was hoping for more. What I did love was the sci-fi type movie that it is, the story, the plot, following the journey from beginning to end. There are some Great effects but the sci-fi story is great too.

This film has a great vision of science fiction however it is a mixed bag as it was and also has its weak points.

While visiting Best Buy I noticed this movie, Valerian, was on sale for $9.99, a very good price, and I purchased it because I generally like Sci Fi movies. The movie is action packed with colorful special effects and also a love story. It was very entertaining.

Very unique sci-fi movie and the effects are really good too. Rihanna was pretty good in this too. The humor was nice touch, overall a good enjoyable movie.

This is a real sleeper, heard some about it when it theaters, but kinda looked over it. Wish I had seen it at 3D IMAX. 4K gets it a little closer. I like the lack of big name cast, very much a fun movie. Only downer, the Digital Redeem is HDX, not UDX.

Media reviews were mixed on this film but I felt the CGI would make up for any shortcomings. They were truly stunning! I had no problem following the story and (as usual) enjoyed the movie’s backstory typically provided on BluRay discs. Definitely one to watch more than once to relive and catch all the many action sequences.

I enjoy good science fiction. I was a little hesitant to by this movie, but was satisfied with the storyline and acting. The visual effects are phenomenal in 4K! A good movie for your science fiction collection.

Had on bluray but had to have on 4k! Good sci fi story but picture and sound so much better in 4k.

I bought this movie on a whim and was pleasantly surprised. It has a lot designs that are clearly very closely related to The Fifth Element which was a big plus.

So my father purchased a new 4K TV and asked to to pick out a movie that would show off his new rig. I had seen this movie in theater a few months back and thought this would be a great choice! The special effects in this movie were just incredible to watch! He was impressed to say the least! Plus all the extras are great.

Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets Rocks we love this movie we can't stop watching it over and over and you will do the same guaranteed so knock yourself out Bam!

Well....it is not for everyone....but if you enjoy great FX...not a bad story line...and the usual scifi stuff...you will enjoy it. Just a note here on the story line...no spoilers...but you HAVE to see the end of the movie for the first 75 minutes to make total sense. At that point you will say...NOW I get it!

This was one of my favorite movies of the year. Directed by Luc Besson, it had a boatload of special effects. It was based upon a French superhero so it wasn't well received but it was a fine work. It is now part of my sci-fi library and I have watched it about 5 times between the theater and my blu ray. Watch and enjoy!!

Luc Besson created another amazing movie of out of this world visuals. That being said, I am rating this 4K Blu-ray based on the beauty of the movie. The casting was terrible (aside from Rihanna, who did surprisingly well) so it’s a little rough to get through certain scenes but definitely worth the experience.

This is an amazingly great sci-fi movie from a really great sci-fi director, but i am getting sick and tired...fed up with this movie companies not giving us the 3D versions...I.E. Underworld: Blood Wars, Resident Evil: The Final Chapter, Valerian, Despicable Me 3, The Seventh Son....GIVE US OUR 3D MOVIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
