This movie got terrible reviews but I do not see why. In my opinion this movie is a fun ride just like Fifth Element and will be another film that will win the hearts of fans over time. The main plot isn't anything amazing but works for introducing us to a new world that sadly we will never get to explore further. It not a perfect film but I feel critics are really ruining Hollywood. If you love sci-fi or Fifth Element then you got to check this one out.

Visually this was great. The actors do a good job and the universe they are in is great. It suffers from the need to have a better plot.

This movie is a fun watch with friends for a movie night. Some scenes had a bit too much cgi for my taste but still a good watch.

Nothing about this movie is going to make it a cinema classic but it is visually stunning and overall just a fun movie to watch.

One of My Favorite Movies!! I recently purchased a New Samsung Q90T 65" (2020) Q-LED TV and matching Q950T Samsung Soundbar and 4K UHD Blu-ray Player and wanted to purchase a few really good 4K UHD Movies to show off the picture and ATMOS surround audio. This DVD does not disappoint. Great movie with plenty of action scenes with very good Surround sound. And I got it on sale! Better than going to the Movies, especially now since COVID-19. If you love Star-Trek and Guardians of the Galaxy, you will Love this Movie!!

I bought Valerian because I missed it in theaters and wanted very much to see it and share it with friends and family in my own home theater. I have enjoyed many of Luc Besson' s films and because of his life long passion for Valerian I had to see it and get an idea what he had in his own imagination. This is a movie I will watch over and over again, though it isn't a perfect film. It is entertaining and is indeed a visual feast.

If you liked “The Fifth Element”, you’ll enjoy this movie. Long, but punctuated with great action, an unconventional courtship, and unbelievable visual effects. Not quite the movie that “The Fifth Element” is, but entertaining nevertheless, and a great showcase disc for 4K Ultra HD Blu-Ray player. There really is no comparison in audio and especially video quality when comparing a 4K HDR Blu-Ray and streaming the same movie in 4K HDR. I hope they keep releasing movies on this format. Disc format isn’t confined by the compression required for streaming and the picture and audio reflect this.

The quality of the 4k HDR is astounding. The worlds have such depth and vibrancy with this format. It’s one of the discs I use to demo my z9d. The movie itself may not be to everbody’s tastes. It has a peculiar energy to it that borders on full blown camp. I loved it. There’s a strange personality to every aspect—- from the hallucinogenic worlds to the miscast lead. These odd choices give it an vitality that I feel is generally lacking and almost artificial in most effects heavy movies. A lot like the director’s other movie “The Fifth Element,” you’ll either embrace it’s silly oddness or reject it for the same reason.

I'm a 72 year old guy who LOVED this action, science fiction flick. The visuals are STUNNING. While it took a little while to get used to a teenage Major, once it got going, I was OK with it. Underlying the story are the usual topics of corporate greed and governmental coverups. The flick has a big heart and that a to its greatness. The 4K is AMAZING!

This icemaker is pretty good and I would have given 4 and a half, but the system did not allow for this. The cubes are great, I like them just a the melting point so I can crunch them in my mouth. But if you want longevity them freezing them works best. Save them for a party. The only down side is it takes so long to make my full messary amount, so it runs all day. Good buy for counter top ice making.

Expectations were very low based on the poor reception this movie received on release, but I was pleasantly surprised. This movie is not deserving of its poor reputation. My main criticism is that the title character was horribly miscast. But once you get past that, this movie is not only beautifully shot and designed, but also a fast paced, entertaining space opera. Recommended is you enjoy sci fi action.

for this subject of a movie it coulda been so much more.. I found myself constantly getting let down by this movie.

There's quite a bit to like about Valerian, but Dane Dehaan is so horribly miscast that it nearly ruins everything.

This film really surprised me as my expectations were low. A very original sci-fi film with a beautifull actress!!

I did not see it in theaters but rented it and enjoyed the movie. The movie is very futuristic and beautiful done like Luc Besson other film The fifth element which I loved. I think the movie could have done better with some of the character development and casting but I think for the story it is hard to get it all in under 2 and half hours.

Not the best movie however I love the steelbook and I'm really happy to have added this to my collection.

This movie received such a bad wrap. Even though it didn’t do well, if you take it at face value, it’s not all that terrible. It is very imaginative and has some funny parts, not to mention what a world they have created for your imagination. Give it a try. It’s from the makers of Fifth Element which you either hated or loved. This is not on that level, but worth a watch.

Overall I thought this movie was a lot of fun and visually amazing. The actors did a decent job. No this won't win any awards but visually is amazing. The story overall is good. There might be missed opportunity on adding additional scenes to explain the story a bit more but overall it was fun and enjoying. If you like Si-Fi and you enjoy space style movies, I think you will like this.

The movie was different and fun to watch. The special effects in the movie were amazing. The storyline of the movie was good along with the galaxy world that it visualizes. The picture quality in 4K is very good.

at first i though the movie going be great..but after i saw it .. it just ok that i give it 3 star..
