The special effects were good but the story was a little slow.

This movie was an enjoyable blast. It is unclear why it received such a poor reception in the box office. Maybe the expectations were to high. I just wish some of the environments were given time to be fully experienced. Some sequences flew by so fast much of the artists work was impossible to be seen.

Good movie, my kids like it. Will recommend 3 of 5 stars

Stunning; very busy; grand special effects but the story didn't quite click. I'm a big sci-fi fan but events seemed to be all over the place with two lead actors that didn't make the story snap into focus. A great deal of emphasis on visual impact but dramatic impact appears to have been sacrificed.

I Think this was an okay movie. I hope to keep this forever.

This films looks amazing in 4K. If you're a fan of the film, then this is the version to get. If you want a 4K blu-ray to demo your 4K TV or Projector, the visuals in Valerian are the way to go. I'm a big fan of Luc Besson. This is not one of his best films, but visually is an enjoyable experience.

A long movie that was just ok. Nothing really great about it.

Visually beautiful, very interesting world, cast is not great. Definitely worth watching if you are fan of sci-fi and colorful visuals. Cast could be better. It is not terrible, but not great either. Good sci fi movie that has a great set up that was not executed to its fullest.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this movie. It looked like a fun action movie with an engaging story and it was but there were definitely moments that I was confused with what was going on and had to try to 'catch up'. I bet if you already know the comic it is based on you'd really like it.

A visual masterpiece from Luc Besson especially in 4K. Based on a classic French graphic novel this story follows a couple of intergalactic law enforcement agents trying to unravel a mystery involving a thought to be extinct race of aliens and a government cover-up. Definitely worth a look.

A really cool futuristic movie! This movie has fascinating scenes that are very imaginative! Utilizes some of the best computerized cinematography! This production has traditional romance, suspense, adventure, and excitement! I think the movie is best suited for young adults 18 to 40 but can be enjoyed by older adults very well. This is an excellent movie and I recommend it!

This flick doesn't get many points for story, but the special effects are amazing to look at, they really did an excellent job imagining new tech for a very far and distant future. I bought this movie in 4k so the special effects really jump out at you even more than regular HD.

Looks great! The sci-fi, world-building, creatures, special effects, imagery are all top notch. The story is so-so and the acting is somewhat hit-or-miss. I was still thoroughly entertained, but undecided on how I feel about Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne in the lead roles.

I give it 4 stars for the visuals and for the creative side of the movie! But 3 stars for story. The story is okay but feels like something is missing, but if you can enjoy movies for how they look, this is one you don't want to miss. Mix Star Wars and the 5th element to make this movie.

I loved the following movie. I would definitely recommend it to my friends and family. Excellent graphics, storyline, and acting. It had me at the edge of my seat. A must buy in my opinion!

This movie has great visuals and you do not need to be familiar with the comic books it is based on. The chemistry between the two leads is a bit lacking but I did not find this to be much of a distraction. It is clearly designed to be fun to watch and it succeeds in that department.
