Kid had been eyeing a game for a while. I prefer giftcards as opposed to keeping my cc info where little kids can rack up unwelcome purchases.

It's nice that you can choose the denomination you want rather than having a preset amount. Of course every major PC game is available on Steam, so this is the card to buy.

I love that Best Buy sells these because I'm there all the time anyway and it's easy to pick up a few of them while I'm there. They are absolutely great for playing games.

My son buys these cards at BB to get the points instead of buying straight from Steam. plus it protects my credit card info from being input on a site that I don't feel secure about.

Almost as easy as just using your credit card. Definitely makes it easy for friends/family to gift you Steam credits if that's your preferred gift choice.

Steam gift cards are awesome, especially around the holidays. I often get steam gift cards when I have some best buy certificates to burn or during Steam sales.

I use these cards to reward my kids for chores and good behavior. It's easier to limit their spending than by giving them cash, and I really don't want them using my credit cards.

Not all stores near us sell the Steam card. We always know that Best Buy carries them. Never had an issue in redeeming the card online.

STEAM cards are always good for a gamer if you don't know what they want. Just from previous issues, keep the receipt, just in case it doesn't activate (true for all gift cards)

When you have that young person that's difficult to buy for, this makes a great gift. They can download their own games without you having to decide what type of game to get them.
