If you like steam (which I admit I REALLY did not at first), you probably like it for the ease of the system. Buy games on it and you never have to worry about physical CDs or anything, they are all on your account and can be loaded at anytime. These cards go hand in hand with that, because this way you have your "steam wallet" where you don't have to use a credit card (very good if you're one of those who don't like your credit card online).

There is one thing I'll say about the Steam gift card... There is no built-in method of presentation. By that I mean, you can't fold it and make it a little present. Many Best Buy cards have that. So if you buy this as a gift you'll need to take a moment and get something to present it. Unless you're an uncouth mouth breather who just hands gifts to people unwrapped. :)

When receiving this Steam card I thought I was just getting $20 to add money to my Steam wallet. But what I got was something that had more value than any Pokémon card selling on eBay right now. I literally could live off this one steam card for the rest of my life and I actually just might do that. Cheers to the Steam team!

If you have a Steam gamer,i think this is the perfect gift.The card adds money to their Steam wallet that they can use to buy games on Steam. I like that I don't have to use my credit card info, then I'm not at risk for hackers :). I didn't know what Steam was until my son explained it to me, it is a gaming "cloud" where you purchase and play games and your progress is stored within your account. This way you don't take up space on your computer.

I wasn't exactly sure what I'd get when I picked up the Steam card off the rack. The $100 value printed on the card left more questions than answers... "Can I use five $20s?" "Would 10 sawbucks work?" (I immediately rejected the idea of using my giant wad of singles, as I had plans for those later that evening.) I decided for take no chances and exchanged exactly one $100 bill for the $100 Steam card. The gambit worked. I came home, entered the code, and my account increased by PRECISELY... $100. It was a magical moment. I believe I detected the faint smell of lilac and jasmine in the air as the "1" appeared on my credit value. My only warning would be to avoid that weird variable-valued card. That's the Devil's work, no doubt.

Steam games that I can play from anywhere. Buy these and I get points as well. Who could want more!

Gotta add to that wallet in preparation for those epic steam sales. So, $20? That's 4 games minimum, probably closer to 6 depending on what I'm testing out. Oh, and now that Steam allows for refunds as long as you have less than 2 hours on a game and it's within 14 days of purchase, there's no risk to testing things out!!! So, yeah, this gift card is great. It will provide many, many more hours of entertainment and distractions!
