Steam is a great service with many great PC games, but in these days of weekly hacks and security blunders, nobody wants to keep their credit card information on file with these services. That's when it's convenient to just purchase a prepaid card to buy games with. It's simply the safer option.

What can I say? You get what you pay for. Not a lot of expectations.

Steam is pretty great. I love that they do what they can to support Linux. Their sales are pretty good. Also check out competitors such as GOG.

Steam offers great sales and tons of games across many genres, and gift cards offer a flexible way to share games with others. The gift card purchase process at Best Buy is smooth, and it’s easy to redeem on Steam.

The code to one of cards purchased could not be scrapped off properly and could not be cashed. I returned it to store and manager reluctantly gave one time credit. She blamed me for not scrapping it properly which was not true. I will be purchasing several more and now worried it could happen again.

I bought this as a gift card for a friend. I thought since I was buying it online, and you redeem it online I might just get a code to send to my friend. Instead I needed to wait for shipping. At that point I was disappointed as I am used to buying codes in stores and getting the code on a receipt (not a gift card) so I thought this was a waste of time. I was happily surprised to see that the shipment wasn't a waste since it was a real card. However, why do I need a physical card when the entire transaction process in online?

Easy to use. The games on special discounted sale they offer for Black Friday and Christmas are awesome.
