This is a gift card for the Steam service owned by Valve Software. I would recommend it for anyone who enjoys pc games, has an internet connection and doesn't care if they have a physical disc. Steam allows you to purchase different kinds of games under a login identity and then it remembers what you buy so you never have to worry again about losing the discs, manuals or whatever. You can uninstall something, but it will always remember that you bought it in case you want to reinstall it later. One of the best features of Steam is that you can make a wishlist with all kinds of games you like, but can live without for the moment. The service will then send you a message when something on your wishlist goes on sale so you can buy it. Steam also has a really good sale every year around Christmas in which nearly everything they offer is around half price. I enjoy the service quite a bit and I think its only a matter of time before this model becomes the way all videogames are bought and sold.

Yeah, you can buy these straight from steam, but they don't give you Reward Zone points! And I'm at Best Buy anyway soooooo. Have bought many and have yet to have one not activate.

I mostly bought these because they were on sale. Definitely pick some up because you'll be spending during winter and summer sales, whether you want to or not.
