It's like a gift card. It has a little scratchy code on the back that you take off, type it into Steam, and then Robert is your mother's Brother.

My 14-year old son loves the easy use of the card. He doesn't have to be as careful as he does with the Steam card info that's only printed on the receipt (from GameStop).
